Anytime Anywhere Recovery Balm + Cap This stick is my little miracle. It's coconut and castor oil based so the longer you leave it on, the better! I use it for SO many things: a shine product when I do braids, a pre-shampoo treatment when hair feels super-dry, I sleep with it on (you should see the cute bun cap inside - use it to protect your pillow!), I use it to tame fly-aways on damaged hair, to soften and add moisture to edges and sometimes just when I want shine and separation with no hold. It goes to work, conditioning and restoring while you go about your life! Anytime. Anywhere.
How to: Daytime use: 1. Apply to any dry or damaged hair areas that need restored moisture. 2. Create a braid, a pony, a bun or just leave your hair down if it looks good and let the balm go to work! 3. Shampoo and condition as usual whenever you're ready.
Overnight use: 1. Warm a dab of balm in your hands and work it from middle to ends. 2. Wrap your hair in a high or low bun. 3. Cover using the bun cap inside the box. Sleep! 4. Shampoo and condition as usual in the morning.
Tip: This is an oil-based recovery balm and may require one additional shampoo to remove oils completely.
Contains Zip-Up Technology, our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

This melts on to the hair nicely, but they weren’t joking about washing your hair more than once. My hair is fried from repeated heat-styling and dying blonde and I usually use coconut oil to slather on at night for repair help. I thought the added caster oil would be a nice touch and used it one evening and kept in my hair for about 20 hours before I showered. I had to wash my hair SEVEN times to get it all out. SEVEN. I’m pretty sure 7 washes nullifies any moisturizing content. I used a second time making a point to not put as much on as the first and it only took me three washes to get it all out. I can’t decide if it’s worth it. With just plain coconut oil, I can usually get it out with one wash (maybe two sometimes). Also, the fragrance is hella strong. I’m not someone sensitive to fragrance (and I do like the smell...it smells great), but if you are sensitive you’ll probably want to stay away as it permeates everything.
I’ve only been using this for a few days but this has to be one of my new fav products! My ends get really dry, esp after a lot of heat styling and going on 3rd day hair... when I do this and the signature hair water, my hair looks amazing!
I have long, fine, color-treated hair that is +50% gray...the texture has changed dramatically, and the ends need some extra love, and this does the trick. I just rub a bit into my hands then gently rub it into my ends, and anywhere I see some fly-aways, or apply directly from the stick, barely brushing my ends against it, then working the product in gently. If my ends look drier than usual, I'll work some into my ends liberally 1 hr before washing it...I haven't tried the overnight bun cap that it comes with yet.
Surprised there aren’t more reviews. Works great. I’ve been using the Sephora shea overnight masks but at 5 bucks a pop that adds up since I like to do them weekly. I have nearly waist length layered colored hair and I need something on my ends especially between cuts. Keeps my ends smooth and tangle free. I don’t know about sealing the split ends but they def haven’t gotten worse. Well worth the 14 dollars. Should last awhile.
I wouldn't be able to speak to the overnight effectiveness of this. But I do love this to tame flyaways, assist with braids, and in general to keep hair down. This helps so that my braid won't fall apart, and to keep the ends together.
