The Kristin Ess Beach Wave Curling Iron is just what your need if you want polished and shiny curls or waves. Slide the curling wand through the ends of your hair for a more undone, relaxed look or bend the ends for a polished look. It locks in moisture, enhances shine and eliminates frizz. Whether you want beachy waves or soft curls, this curling wand is a must-have. Styling your hair has never been this easy!
It feels nice in the hand, it's pretty, and I like the length of the barrel, BUT mine keeps shutting off (and I am not pressing the off button) every ~2 or so minutes of use. It's extremely frustrating. Planning to return.
Loved it in the USA, NOT universal voltage though.

I purchased this curling iron because it states that it is universal voltage and I am going to graduate school in Italy. I used it a few times in the US before I left and loved it. However, the first time that I used it in Italy, it fried. I wish that Kristin Ess and Target would not sell this as universal voltage when it is not. It's a shame that the product information was incorrect, because my usage of this product in the US made me like Kristin Ess. Now I'm not so sure.
I'm a big Kristen Ess fan and truly wanted to love this curling iron, but I'm baffled by all of the good reviews this curling iron is receiving. This is the worst curling iron if you have long hair, and I'm a seasoned curling iron vet. 1. It leaves kinks in my hair. 2. So hard to work with if you have long hair - it doesn't allow your hair to run smoothly through it, it tangles, grabs, and breaks hair. I think it is a combination of the clamp being too tight and the coating of the iron not being smooth enough. 3. IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF MID USE AND ITS INFURIATING. I'm not sure if this is due to where the button is located and I'm accidentally pressing it, it's defective, or it's cycling to prevent the iron from getting too hot - but I hate it. Save your money and by a trusty Babyliss or Hot Tools curling iron, or really splurge on Amika or GHD.
Odd pink color appeared on handle, then iron stopped working after six weeks.

Handle and clamp turned pink when I had no pink on my hands, no idea why. Also, it stopped working entirely after six weeks... wouldn't even turn on, and no damage had been incurred. Would not recommend, cheaper irons last far longer.
