What's poppin'? Literally this is. This bubbling scalp mask instantly removes oil, build-up, dead surface skin cells + debris. Use it as a pre-shampoo scalp treatment on dry hair before you shower, then once the bubbles wear off, and you stop thinking about that one childhood candy this reminds you of, get in and wash your hair! Contains Zip-Up Technology (tm), our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.
This did not clean my scalp. I shook it for 5-10 minutes and it still did not come out as a foam. Whatever came out would pop for a few seconds in my hand but when putting it on my scalp it would pop for less than 5 seconds then stop. I applied it to my entire head and waited for 5 minutes then headed into the shower. Post shower there was still gunk and flakes on my head.

Love this stuff! I have an itchy scalp. After using the Mask yesterday, I didn't itch for the rest of the day. After applying, the Mask feels incredibly cool on the scalp. The bubbles make funny popping noises. The Mask rinses out quickly, and shampooing afterwards is easy. At $14 it's a bargain compared to what they would sell you in a salon.
I bought this product as well as the exfoliating scalp scrub to try on a flaky itchy scalp. I found this bubble foam hard to apply, it kind of starts dissolving in the hair before even really reaching the scalp. The directions say to use a golf ball sized amount, but I have to use at least 3-4 times that much to try to get it across different parts of the scalp and still didn’t feel like it applied evenly on the scalp. The foam comes out icy cold with is kind of fun. I need to go back and watch Kristen Ess videos on how to apply this product before I try it again, but so far I found it very difficult to apply as directed on the bottle. I liked the exfoliating scrub better, though I may continue to use this product in between.
I have very fine, greasy hair. If I don't use any dry shampoo or anything my hair will be greasy within 24 hours after I wash it. I have been trying to train my hair and go longer in between washes and felt like no matter how long I tried my hair would always get so greasy and I would need SO much dry shampoo which then would cause a lot of build up and flakes near my scalp. This stuff works! It extends my time time between washing for a few days and after a few washes I have almost no flakes! I definitely have to use a lot more product than it describes in the instructions because I have a ton of hair but it's worth it!
I love this product!! I decided to give it a try after reading some great reviews and looking for a solution to my dandruff without any luck. I've tried a lot of products but this bubble mask is the only product that I've used where I've seen a huge clear up of my dandruff. It also cleaned my scalp so well I was able to go longer than usual without washing my hair and without dry shampoo! If you're having doubts, try it out, you can't beat it especially for the price!
I have seborrheic dermatitis and get build up and I have an itchy scalp. Ive used these types of bubble cooling products before but never fell in love with one. This stuff works wonders. Its cooling and leaves my scalp clean. Works after one use.
I am prone to itchy & flaky scalp at times. But my scalp actually has been looking & feeling good lately, but I saw this product at Target so I thought I’d give it a try. First issue: instructions say to make a foam ball in your hand and apply to scalp. My can shoots a weak stream of liquid and mist into my hand. No foam. So I keep shaking can and I’m finally able to get some product into my hand (still wouldn’t call this foam). Apply to head. Except unless you have a buzz cut, when you try to apply it, it just touches your hair, not scalp. So I lifted sections of hair and shake-sprayed this icy water foam onto my scalp to get the product on the intended area. Lots of crackling sounds. A few mins later I rinsed, scrubbed scalp with fingertips, shampoo and conditioner and blow dry as normal. Only to discover a few hours later that my scalp is flaking and peeling. Everywhere. So much grossness and dead skin everywhere and I can’t get it out because it’s caught in my hair and I can’t use fine-toothed combs on my hair. If I had known this was a potential side effect (on the label please) I would NOT have purchased it :(
I really wanted to love this product. The branding looks great, and the "pop rocks" feel had me excited that it would make a difference in my scalp. I bought it because I have a pretty dry scalp and flake all year long, and the description said it was scalp exfoliating and flake reducing. Unfortunately, this product did nothing to help my particular issue. If you're looking for something to help dry scalp, I don't think this is the right product. Maybe it is more effective for product build up.
