L'Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Temporary Hair Color

I applied the color purple 400 to my level 9 bleached under layer thinking I was gonna get a nice light wash of purple. As you can see in the photo it's extremely dark and as a result I'm extremely disappointed. How could you get pastel so wrong? Usually the issue is the color not showing up. The reason I didn't give 1 star I'd because they included three pairs of decent gloves and a brush in the kit. The conditioning base also left my hair feeling super soft.

The light pink didn't even show up on my daughters blond hair

Used the purple on my daughters hair last night , they were so excited …. Just for absolutely no color to show up and they both have natural very blonde hair . Left my babies disappoint and going to bed in tears….

This will not work unless your hair is blonde or has been lightened. My teenager's hair was lifted to a platinum blonde and this hair color applied like a dream. The hot pink is vibrant and lasted twice the amount of time it was supposed to. It was a breeze to use and the results were fantastic. Do not expect a color change if your hair is brown or darker. This is meant for light hair.

This dye got EVERYWHERE and stained my daughter’s skin, and the shower and the counter… Do not rinse this out in the shower! We should have done head down in the sink so the color would go right in the sink and not allllll over her skin. And the shower. The counter wasn’t too bad to clean- 5 or 6 goes with an all purpose cleaner. The shower was trickier. The skin is still stained 2 days later but we assume it will wear off at some point!

I love this Colorista SemiPermanent Hair Dye for Brunettes. I have Medium Brien to Light Brown Hair and finally found something that holds and works for darker hair without having to bleach and strip my hair first. The Tangerine Irangey Red colour is great and blends in well with my natural hair colour. And I live the Green colour for fun. I also have the Blue. But when I first used it, I did as directed. But now I just put a small amount on the included brush and apply it to my roots and it penetrates better with using the small amount sparingly and brushing it into my roots. I don’t wash it out until a few days and that way it penetrates even more and will last for months. It’s a great product. I hope it’s not discontinued. It works great for my hair. The other leading brand Splat for brunettes is too messy and comes off easily. L’Oréal Colorista is much better and comes with a nice brush.

I love the color and how well it stayed. Plus it took awhile for it to wash out which was nice

This dye used to be my favorite, but now it stains so much more. I’m glad it works better, I guess, but I liked it because of how it worked before. Before the change, it was perfect for beginners to hair dye. It wouldn’t stain and it would wash out slowly and fade beautifully before. Now, it stains your skin for at least another shower. It doesn’t fade (which I guess is nice if I knew that before dying my hair). And last, When I tried to bleach the purple out, I was left with bright blue hair. I just really wish they would go back to the old formula. It worked so much better for beginners or even for a nice fading dye. Just be ready to have the same color for months.

I’ve tried a few of the colors… light pink, hot pink, purple, and the maroon. I LOVE this dye. It lasts about 5 days and is perfect for a quick and temporary color change.

I washed my bleached hair over the sink. Put a dark towel around your counter. Clean sink immediately to avoid staining. I used the blue hair dye. The color is very vibrant. I recommend it, just use gloves and Vaseline on face areas that can be stained.

Stains everywhere but easy to clean off with bleach. Will not come out of my pillow case though :( pretty color has stayed longer than 7 washes

i think the title should do a fair bit of explaining for me. just to preface, i do want to say that if youre looking for the perfectly staining hair dye that leaves you with a beautiful barf green shade, then this is indeed the dye you are looking for. i actually found an old bottle of this lying around in my bathroom from 2-3 years ago and had the most intense flashback of my life; therefore, i felt that i should write the review that i never did when all went to hell. it all started with the purchase of a tube of the midnight blue color. after applying, i fell in love with the shade that it left on my medium brown hair and eventually its presence became a trademark on my locks, so i just ended up applying more and more. however, this may have been one of the worst ideas of my life. once i got tired of the midnight blue color, i got tired of it and we were over, so i decided to wash it out. this ended up being a long, arduous trial that was constantly testing my might, so i ended up deciding to bleach it out instead. while doing said bleaching process - which i did twice - i couldn't help but notice the immense green stain that was left in my hair. it just would not come out no matter what methods i had tried. clarifying shampoo, developer and dish soap, vinegar, and so on. no matter what i did, it had seemed like i was indeed doomed to the eternal fate of looking like a humanized leek. this brutal destiny that stood before me had laughed and ridiculed me as i looked like a dainty vegetable going for a little shopping as i took the walk of shame to buy some same-ugly-shade green hair dye to fix the disaster that was my hair. thankfully, this unwelcome green splotch had been cut off many a year ago, but my hair still writhes in fear of the thought of this happening again. thanks l'oreal.

It turned out really good on my hair and my friends hair. It is kind of red but I fades. I highly recommend.

I have blonde highlights that were personally done. I dyed those areas purple. Loved the result! Only thing is i have to keep retouching it after a few shampoos.

Have had a lot of compliments on the Metallic Blue 01 I chose to put on my hair. I found easy to apply. One downfall is that the dye really stains the skin and really not sure what to use to get it off of my hands. I reside in Canada not the United States

The color wouldn’t mix in the bottle, and I purchased a dark blonde color, the color in the bottle was black. When mixed, it was light brown at the bottom and black on top. Thank God I didn’t put that on my hair!!

Does exactly what it says it does. Perfect for a toddler. We used the purple. It's very purple where her hair is blonde and barely there where her hair is brown.

Label says it lasts 4-10 shampoos. My daughter used the teal as a temporary style. it's been about 25 shampoos and now just an ugly shade of green that won't fade.

I bought this thinking I can do something quick and look good. Didn’t hold at all! Would not recommend buying at all! I have medium brown hair and I can’t see any color
