I am on baby #3 and always use a shield the first 2 weeks to ease the pain. The pain always ends around 2 weeks and I just ditch the shield over a few feeds and it works out good.

Worst nipple shields I tried. Weird shape. Preferred MAM or Medela shields over Lansinoh.

These were too flimsy and the nipple itself was too short. My baby couldn't stay latched and would get frustrated.

I needed another solution after getting mastitis from damage nipples causing me to clog because of latching issues. My daughter latched on correctly with an ease and very happy with my purchase. She do thinks it's her bottle so it's helpful since she prefers that. I put the lansinoh cream around the rim of the product and it was able to stick to my nipple

These came with a little bit of a learning curve for me. But they really were a lifesaver to protect my nipples when my first didn’t have a great latch. We worked with a lactation consultant and a speech therapist and they recommended these. Things got better and we didn’t need them anymore!

I was using the Medela nipple shields but needed extra ones. Target was out of stock so I got these and I like these much better! They are a little thicker, the medela ones are more flimsy and thin and this one stays put! Love that it has a case for on the go. Highly recommend.

Baby Wouldnt stay latched

My some is tongue tied. The Nipple on these is to short for my baby to stay on. He got frustrated and would keep detaching and crying. The medela one is longer and lets him stay latched.

A lifesaver that is allowing me to breastfeed my son. My nipples are flat and breastfeeding was impossible even with the advice of two lactation consultants. But this on a whim after trying the medela nipple shield at the hospital (and disliking it) and my son latched on instantly. I nearly cried tears of joy because before these I was exclusively pumping every 3 H which is so time consuming and took time away from my baby. I see a lot of reviews saying that they are hard to stay on. A few tips that I have learned from using these for the past month is that they have to be clean, soap and water does a good job, then before placing a nipple shield you want to invert the plastic nipple with your thumbs and then place it over your own nipple and then let the plastic top sort of “pop” back out. These stick on very well and the only time they fall off is if my baby pushes them off with this his hand.

Flat nip problems

Te - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
In my opinion I do not like these shields. They are awkward. They were too wide for my daughter and to short for her to suck. I have really flat nipples so I need assistance mimicking her bottle nipple so I can then relatch her but these were no help in that process. She became frustrated with these nipples. Also they really don’t stick on as great as they advertise. I do love the little case that they come in. It’s very discreet.

Hello Te, thank you for sharing this feedback on our Nipple Shields. We're sorry to hear about your experience. The design and material is different from others, they're flimsy and a short but fat stub that if your having trouble with latching will be the downfall of wanting to continue breast feeding. My premature son doesn't always need the shield but there is a huge reason lactation in the hospital gave the other brand for preemie babies breastfeeding. These are getting thrown away and the other brand we got from hospital will be purchased for times when he needs the extra latch help until he gets a bit bigger.

These are the only reason I was able to breastfeed my baby. I know LCs say not to continue to use them but they worked great!! I used the shields for three months before getting my baby to latch without one. These shields were my favorite because they fit the best and stayed put.

Super comfortable to nurse with specially at the beginning when breastfeeding is so hard. Only thing I found annoying was that they were so flimsy to put on but that helped my baby attach better so I can’t really complain. I would totally use them again if I find the need to.
