This includes engorgement, mastitis, or soreness. They do not have to be used with a breast pump, but many moms do find they support pumping. We hope this helps!

Q: Can these be heated in a pan of water on the stove instead of the microwave?

A: Hello Ditdot13, thank you for this question. While we recommend using the microwave to heat up our packs, water can be used as an alternative heating method. However, if a microwave is not available, fill a large pot with enough water to fully submerge the pack without touching the bottom of the pot. Bring water to a boil and remove pot from heating surface. Do not immerse pack while water is being heated. Use a blunt, nonmetallic tool to submerge and remove the pack from the water. Do not leave pack unattended while heating. Submerge the pack for the 1-2 minutes. If pack has not reached desired temperature, submerge again (in same water) for an additional minute.Do not allow the pack to come in contact with the pot or heat source for prolonged time, excessive contact may rupture the pack. Towel dry pack before applying. Always inspect the pack for signs of damage or leaking prior to use and discard if damage is found. Always test the pack temperature before application and allow to cool if needed. We hope this helps!

Q: How many minutes to place them in your bra before I start pumping?

A: Using Lansinoh® TheraPearl® gel packs (hot) up to 5 minutes before you start pumping can help encourage faster let-down when you start pumping. However, it’s not necessary. You can snap them on to your breast pump and start pumping right away, and the heat will still help with let-down.

These take much longer to warm than suggested, and simultaneously tells you not to overheat it. The shape is also awkward. Doesn't work well with all pump types. They are definitely helpful with a sensitive area, just wish the design was slightly different

This product has been helpful for stimulating a fast letdown when I pump so that I may be more efficient. It feels great and also helps when I was dealing with a vasospasm and painful latch. I have used it for almost 3 months before I noticed a slight breakdown in the composition, but they’re still working well. I don’t expect them to last forever, but I’m taking care of them to last as long as possible.

I did not love this item. I kept them frozen and did not feel like they stayed cold at all when I needed them. They didn’t really help with discomfort in my opinion

These were a lifesaver and still are! After leaving the hospital my LO was nursing pretty frequently. I would use these as ice packs and heating pads. Worked wonders! Especially when i was engorged or had clogged milk ducts

Used these for when I had mastitis and they were amazing. They stayed warm the whole time. The only thing is not to let them touch when they’re in the microwave because mine did and they got stuck together from the heat and now one of them has a hole. Other than that they stayed warm for the time I needed them

Love they these came with a soft cover. I put them in the microwave inside the cover on a clean plate. I do have to microwave for a little longer than the directions for then to be warm enough to make a difference .

I was gifted these and I am so glad I was. I had preemie twins and twin B had trouble with latching and I ended up with clogged milk ducts. These helped tremendously with relieving the soreness and pain. The shape is perfect for sliding in a bra and the covers are soft and have a nice snap on them to help keep the rounded shape. They came in handy with my newest baby after my milk came in after 2 days and I became engorged. I still use them a little over 2 months in to nursing to relieve mild soreness from getting too full with changing sleep habits.

These are a life saver for your breastfeeding journey!! At one point or another you will need this. Saves your boobs from soreness, helps with getting faster milk flow when pumping, all around relief from every day breastfeeding. I liked to heat mine a little bit and but then on while pumping and it would help relax me and get milk flowing faster. Also used when I had a milk bleb and if you ever had one you know they’re painful. Great product to have

I think these are okay. But a few things. My boobs are big and I use portable cups, not the tradition pumps where they stick out. So they didn’t sit right. And they exploded in my microwave…. Soooooo they may work for other but not me. They did feel good when warmed up.

I loved these things for when I was engorged when my milk came in. They were easy to heat up. I didn’t find that they stayed hot for a long time, and the size was a little off for me, but it’s still a great product to have on hand.
