I used these counters with an author study that we are doing from the author Barbara McGrath , books titled Teddy Bear Counting and Teddy Bear Patterns. They are very versatile, for counting, patterns and doing different sorts by size and color.  see moreof dlt's review

Such a simple thing - little plastic bears. But these little gems helped so much in teaching my children to count and became a staple element in our home classroom. They're friendly and colorful, and their simplicity allows them to be used in a variety of imaginative ways. The kids love them!  see moreof Zanna's review
