It does have a light fishy taste but this is Oyster flavor so that is to be expected. This would be great for marinating stir fry meat or seafood. This sauce has a nice thick consistency. I liked that the bottle has a QR code to scan and came with a recipe card.

After steaming some peppers and jumbo shrimp, I added some oyster sauce to cooked garlic, onion and noodles for a quick lunch. The sauce comes out of the screw-top, glass bottle in a thick, rich syrup consistency. It is dark and flavorful, full of a salty brine just like raw oysters that I love. I could see adding this to many of my favorite Asian recipes. I only gave it four stars, however, because the sodium content is 38% of my daily value and it does contain wheat products, which are not good for those with wheat allergies.
