Disappointing

This Lego was a Santa gift for my 5 year old son. It is all he has been talking about for months. I had to order it and pick it up at a store in the city. He was so excited about his gift from Santa but when he opened it the two bags with the Batmobile were missing and the rest of the bags were cut open and the minifigures were removed. He was so sad and got all teary eyed. Nothing like a sad child on Christmas. Try explaining a quality control issue at the North Pole to a five yar old.

This was my most hyped set for the year, and it did not disappoint! With new Teen Titan minifigures and 4 different theme park attractions as well as a new Batmobile, you get great value for your money. Minifigures: 10/10 Batman: Sure it's the same old Batman, but this one comes with nice dual molded legs to represent boots. I hope this is used more in the future. Robin: Very nice! It looks like a teen titans Robin to me, and that works great considering you also get Beast Boy and Starfire. Also nice dual molded arms! Beast Boy: My personal favourite Minifigure of the set, and one of my favourites of all time! Very well printed and dual legs. Comes with a green snake to transform into which was a nice touch. Unfortunately his torso on mine came with backwards arms, but it was an easy fix and was probably just an error with mine so I don't really care. Starfire: My second favourite and another of my all time favourite minifigures. Nice pink hair and green plates really complete the figure. Only complaint is she could have used dual legs, but it's still fine. Joker: Quite nice! Seems like a mix of the one from the Batwing and the Steamroller but is still a great figure. Nice green hair and purple suit. I like the pie accessory. Harley Quinn: Pretty good. I like the use of jester hat and hammer. She looks a little weird without a mask but I can just swap in the face from the Asylum. Overall pretty good. Poison Ivy: Good but the same as the old one. I would have preferred a new one with green skin but I think it's ok. Penguin: Same as Poison Ivy, good but old. Ironically both from the same set, Arkham Asylum Clownbot: Not really a Minifigure, but whatever. Very good actually. A nice use of pieces with the green ice cream for hair and the key on the back makes it look like a wind up toy. Builds: 10/10 Cannon: A nice little, well made cannon that looks very nice. Has a good shooting feature with small black cannon balls. Poison Ivy's ride: The Carnivorous Free Fall: Wow! Very very good. The actual dropping feature works! Nice use of green clams to make the evil plant at the top. I think Starfire could easily escape this ride but it doesn't really matter. Penguin's ride: The Deadly Duckies: A small Ferris wheel with ducks as the seats. Matches the Penguin very well. The grey blades in the water to represent shark fins really works and I like it. Again, Beast Boy could easily escape the ride but who cares. Harley Quinn's ride: Good. Pretty big actually. My only complaint is that the bike falls too easily but it doesn't matter too much. Joker's funhouse thing: Really cool! I like how easily it is to change around the face and tilt the hat. I'm guessing a small mirror house down the bottom. Quite good. Nice signs and flags at the sides. Cool acid vat and a slide that goes into it. Batmobile: Another great Batmobile. Really like its winged features. Pros: -All the minifigures -The Batmobile -The rides -Teen Titans characters Cons: -Bike falls to easily. -Heroes could easily escape rides. Very good set with good value for money. Would recommend to anyone. 10/10

More Fun Than a Duck-Themed Ferris Wheel

First and foremost, this set was fun to build. Going in, I was worried about the stickers being a pain, but they fell fairly nicely into place, and none of them feel superfluous; the double-sided mirror stickers are a very nice touch, and the shape of the signs allows for fairly simple placement. The only one that gave me any trouble was the bat logo on the Batmobile, but that could just be my fingers. The rides themselves are, overall, well-designed; I like the extra pieces at the bottom of the toxic pool, and the Penguin's ride has very nice use of studs to represent snow and ice. The shark fins are a nice touch, too! Harley's bike ride is a little shaky, although I'm not sure if this was intentional, it can either come across as weak or an extra peril-enhancing feature. Poison Ivy's free fall ride does hit the ground quite hard as well, just something to keep in mind. The Shoot-O-Matic works fine for what it is; you're not likely to hit any targets, and its range isn't fantastic, but it's a colourful addition to the rest of the set. The Batmobile is very well-designed; I love the well-hidden spring-loaded shooters. They are hidden enough to keep the vehicle looking stream-lined, but also exposed enough to allow for easy access. The sides, using some SNOT techniques, are a little "rattly", but I didn't mind that myself. The minifigures are, while not THE highlight, certainly a cherry on top. The three Teen Titans characters all look very good, and we're unlikely to get these minifigures again. I like the addition of a snake for Beast Boy to turn into, as well as Starfire's energy blasts. The Batman in this set has the two-piece legs to represent boots, which I certainly appreciate in a set at this price point. Overall, I was very satisfied with this purchase. It's a very nice set, especially in terms of play value, and it's such a colourful and visually appealing set that doesn't compromise aesthetics for action features.

I just recently started collecting Lego products again after watching some YouTube reviews of the superhero sets. This set is by far my favorite set to date because of all the interesting and creative features in this set. It's a great display set and it's a lot of fun to play with because of all the rides it offers. It is a great set for Lego fans of all ages and it comes with really nice figures too.
