LEGO Creator Expert Ford Mustang Collector's Car Model 10265

This set was fun would recommend for young and old.

Right off the bat, if you're an America, this is the car build for you! A Fastback Mustang is every kid's dream to own! Steve McQueen made this car cool and helped make him cool! But onto the build. The steering element is by far the coolest! You don't get that in most lego builds outside of Technic cars, but I prefer the Lego element, which is why I don't really get the Technic cars, as they have a lack of bricks and I love that this is a mix of both in some degree. I wish Lego did more of this with their cars. I love that you can "mod" your car with all the attachments and make the rear wheels go up and down. Another plus is the lack of stickers! I HATE stickers for Lego, as I don't have the steadiest hands when it comes to applying them, so they're always a bit off. But this build, love the lack of the stickers. The doors are also great and don't break easily. The engine detail is also fantastic! Overall, great build, you can steer it and it's great for display and even play. When I get bored, I'll bring it down and drive it around the desk/table and have some fun. You're never too old to play with Lego.

This is a great set. It was a good build and didn’t take me long to put together. I love the options to customise it. Definitely worth the price and would recommend to any car enthusiast.

This was my first solo Lego build in almost 33 years. Aside from helping my nephew with his first Technic set several years ago, this was the first time since I was a teenager I have built a Lego set. And I must say it brought the Lego addiction back fast! I’ve always been into hot rods and Lego did a great job matching the body of the late 60’s model Mustangs. I stuck with the Classic stock body build rather than the Dragster look. This set wasn’t missing a single piece. I was extremely rusty starting this build. Although it’s a 16+ Expert set rather than the 18+ of others I’ve been building since this, it has a lot of really tedious building involved throughout the build. I downloaded the Lego PDF and used that rather than using the paper instructions. Now I’m using the Lego Builder App which is much more user friendly. There were several challenges along the build that I had to really figure out since the instructions are lacking on numerous steps. But I’ve since found the more I build, the easier it is to look at an image and figure it out after getting use to the pieces that weren’t around when I was young. The one complaint I had was the windshield install. It’s absolutely the tightest fitting piece of the set. After looking everything over and making sure it did indeed go where it seemed impossible, my first attempts failed and I had to carefully reassemble some earlier built parts simply due to the amount of pressure needed to snap it into place. There isn’t much support under the dash and that was the weak point. I finally just lined it up and pressed very hard down and it locked into place. But once installed, it really added much needed strength for the overall build. It held the car together nicely. The seats were simply one of my favorite parts of this build. They look amazing and I love the two tones of tan color used. The small angled pieces that are used a lot on the exterior to build the body have a nice glossy finish and it looks great. The steering works perfectly and Lego really captured the unmistakable look of the rear GT taillights. The engine is very detailed for a set below 1500 pieces. The distributer only has four plug wires on a big block V8, but trying to cram another 4 in would have taken away from the appearance of the engine. So I can look past that. The stickers weren’t as hard to apply as some have suggested. But that’s simply my opinion. I only gave 4 stars for play because there are a couple of pieces that will fall off pretty easily (small blue single angled pieces on front bumper) and the side mirrors, although easily adjustable and reinstalled, will move or pop off. Just thinking about myself as a kid knowing I would have done that playing with this set. Overall I loved this build and I love the overall look. I build sets and display them. After building this set, I have since bought 12 more Lego sets from the Ford GT to the UCS Millennium Falcon. I’ve been building daily and loving it!

This was a fun build with lots of options to customize.

This Lego set is petty amazing detail doing great will recommend my friends

This was amazing, but curious why the designer did not include an antenna? Even if it was a satellite radio there should be something. Everything else was so detailed it seems like it shouldn’t have been forgotten.

After fiddling with the racing stripes, I was finally able to find an orientation of the pieces that this stripe is at least consistent the whole length of the car. For the stripes on the sides of the doors, however, there was no combination where the stripes would match up. I tried every combination of the 2x4 GT pieces and each of the 2x2 stripe pieces and every one of them was misaligned. I genuinely would rather stickers for all of these pieces as it seems my sticker placement comes out better than the printing process for this set.

it was a great build hopefully there's a ton of other old school cars like a 57 chevy belair in this same scale just sayin lol

Instructions were very easy to follow and a lot of nice touches that you would find on the real mustang. Very impressed with the design and quality of the project

Box was in great condition. Perfect present . Really love that I got it before expected delivery

Built the entire bottom portion just to discover missing wedge pieces. Had to tear it apart piece by piece. Not happy. Takes away the fun. Looks cool once it actually can be built...hopefully I can get a replacement with all of the parts.

The latest vehicle added to the fleet is quite detailed and has withstood handling by young children. It took just about 2 hours to assemble and next year the collection will be expanded to include the Fast And Furious Charger Now we need to find appropriate invisible shelves to display the expansive collection which features many architectural builds and most of the Star Wars offerings

Really great build for the classic car lover. They enjoyed every moment.

Entertaining complex and absorbing over several days

I had a great time building this one into our collection. It took the perfect amount of time and I like the personalized options you can add to it.

the look of the car is out standing but the panels didnt fit properly and the instructions were hard to follow

It did arrive on time. It was a great experience to build it together with my son. Lots of great details such as steering, realistic feeling and sound when opening/closing doors and great add ons
