If you are into the nostalgia, want to have a great show piece, love old batman movies, you need to buy this. Great build, great time building it, few challenges but nothing to crazy. It looks great!!!
I enjoyed this build immensely, took a few hours a day for about a week, but I was pacing myself due to CV lockdown. It's really sturdy when finished you don't constantly feel like it will fall apart when you move it. The stand is a nice addition and unlike some third party stands you don't have to try and turn the item upside down and physically attach it to the stand just slide it under and you can rotate the car in any direction to show it off. Also good was there wasn't hundreds of the little blue and black connectors, only a handful in fact. The attention to detail is amazing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this set to anybody.
A great build that took 9 hours but was spread over 3 months. Purchased to join the Tumbler and 1960s Batcave in my mostly Star Wars collection. Mix of build styles that allowed me to involve my 3 yr old, but thought I had missing pieces but in truth, he had snuck and placed parts on which took a bit to find. Nice sturdy end product with some bits to avoid touching.
Wow this one took me back in time! If you’re a lego fan and born in the 80’s or later then this set is a must buy. Lego hit the nail on the head with this one. Everything about this set is perfection and on point from the movie. I love the super informative booklet it comes with, over 400 pages, which includes a lot of information from the builders about the set. I love the stand that it’s displayed on because this set is definitely not playable. It’s just too big and heavy. You sure do get a appreciation for lego Technic and you see just how important it is to Lego and these big builds because the structure to this car is like no other. Solid as a rock due to the technic base. My favorite part of this set is the pop up guns!! They’re soooo cool. The only difficult part of the build for me was a few tight squeezes with technical pieces but that’s about it. Happy building ............. This is for the Lego Team. In bag number 14 I was missing two 1x2 black tiles, I already know that it’s rare for sets to be missing pieces, I work on a white counter top so I know they aren’t around the floor or somewhere else and since this set is basically all black they weren’t used in place of another piece. I’m not mad or upset, I’m just informing so in the future you guys could quality control that bag to make sure they’re included.
The Batmobile arrived and it is a huge build. But it was so much fun. Building it up, all the little builds that form part of the much bigger picture, made it all the more fun. Some bits are tricky, my daughter tired helping, started at 630pm and finished it at 445am. But was fun, didn't wanna leave it, as I know my kids would complete it for me. Looks amazing on the shelf and the 89 Batman with cowl is a great addition as is the Jack Nicholson Joker and Vicki Vale.
Let me start out by saying I am a Batman enthusiast. With every packet that I opened while building, the more it became clear to me how much love the designers put into this. I especially like how sturdy the skeleton of the vehicle is. A good number of the 24 packets are largely part of the internal structure, which is quite assuring. Building it is like a Christopher Nolan movie. Early on you don’t know why pieces are where they are, but by the end, everything comes together and all your questions are answered. There’s quite a bit of beauty in the details. Adjustable seats are just one of many features that I was pleasantly surprised by. Ammo on the sides, a functional steering wheel, and adjustable weapons are also part of what makes this such a great set. I am so incredibly proud of the designers who made this Batmobile. They should be proud too! Thank you for a fantastic experience.
