LOVE Toothless!!
I purchased this for my birthday to have a fun and memorable build with my son. This build did not disappoint! My favorite thing about Toothless is his head and mouth. I love how much added expression the movement is added to the eyes and expression of Toothless!! The puff is lovely and I really LOVE the jointed fish!!

Super cool piece to the collection!
Toothless was definitely a fun build! I love the character and I think Lego did a good job of capturing his spirit with the build. Only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the pieces that are used for the claws on his feet, admittedly I feel this way anytime the piece shows up in a build, is I wish the material wasn't so slick. I was trying to install the claws and the pieces kept shooting accross the room! I'll chalk it up to Toothless being Toothless!!!!

Overall a good build with only a couple of glitches. Page 102, build 233, figure shows the rightmost piece added to the assembly while it is added again in Figure 3. Build 231 on page 99 shows it correctly. Builds 61 and 84, the addition of the leg assemblies, would have gone faster if a view from the bottom showing them added at an angle. I am used to orthogonal builds with LEGO builds. The first one took me over an hour because I disassembled the leg and built it back. Fortunately one of the chest pieces popped off and the the leg assembly popped on at the correct angle.

Beautiful but so so frustrating
Absolutely stunning product but please do not buy for young children it was the most infuriating thing to build. Up until the head everything was fine but as soon as you try to put the head on things start falling apart. It's so incredibly fragile and fiddly like no other Lego I've bought. If you buy this have patience.

Cute but not best design
As if black on black wasnt hard enough, there are so many curved gloss pieces that are attached so flimsily that if you bump them they come off I got half way through building the head and things just kept falling off the more i touched it. The head is super heavy and just sits in a hole? So much moves but this is not a set for playing with or it will disintegrate. One for a high shelf so it will never be touched but still looking very cool amongst all the other lego dragons. Would not recommend for younger kids due to frustration levels of the build.

Missing Lego piece
I am on the red part of the tail and I am missing a piece. Though I have moved on without it, it does not look how it is supposed to look.

Fun but delicate
I really enjoyed the build until it came time to put him together, one of the feet fell off and had to be rebuilt and his mouth came off too easily considering you are supposed to be able to remove both the tongue and the holder for his smoke. Because there is so many moving parts would only recommend this to someone fairly experienced with Lego builds. He looks great as a display piece but definitely won’t be playing with him.
