Love and dislike.
I love the idea. I hate that I had to buy this set to get the smart play block so I could use it on my mew. Now I don’t have one I can play with this set. Lol great idea bad execution

Smart bricks allow for more play time
I like the idea of the smart brick. My son has the Mario Lego characters where you have to charge the whole figurine. With the smart brick, he can still play with Pikachu while the smart brick is charging.

Kids love it!
I sat with our 6 year old while he put this together and only had to help him a handful of times, but he has put many Minecraft sets together so he knows what he’s doing. The set is very cute, especially the bed that folds down with the Snorlax pillow. He and his 4 year old sister both love it. Our only complaint about these Lego Pokemon sets are that you can’t purchase more Smart Bricks. Really hoping they change that, because it’s very annoying to have to move it from Pokemon to Pokemon when they are trying to play with multiple sets. The Pikachu treehouse comes with one, and the Charizard Jolteon set comes with two. None of the other ones come with any and as of right now they can’t be purchased separately. Big bummer but doesn’t affect this set by itself so 5 stars from us!

Cute set but…
I purchased 4 of these sets for my Lego obsessed, Pokemon loving, 8-year-old. Out of 5 characters, the smart brick only works in one of them. It was pretty disappointing for him. The set is adorable otherwise. But I’m not sure if we got a bad brick or bad smart tags with the characters.

Loved building
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved building the Lego’s training house with pikachu. I love how this keeps my child engaged for a while while it builds creativity and imagination. This had a piece that needs to be charged and kids were excited because it something special. The training house has pieces that move that goes from kitchen to a bed. Basically so much things you can do and play with. They all love it!

It is a SUPER big hit with my 10 year old as she plays with it daily when my 18 month old is asleep bc he also likes the interactive noises and how the brick flashes.

Awesome lego set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really unique and fun to play with lego set. It was fun to build and the pikachu really feels like it is electrified when the smart brick is attached. Shaking the pikachu makes several different sounds. The more you shake it the more it makes an electrical charge sound as the brick makes yellow lightning light effect. The house that comes with it is really cool. It has a fold down bed that has a small kitchen behind it and the whole thing looks like a big pilachu. It also comes with a smart brick and charger. The brick lasts for a while and charges in about 2 hours.

Hours of fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 and 10 year old kids really liked this LEGO Pikachu set! It took them close to an hour to put everything together, which was a nice activity on its own. Once it was built, they had a lot of fun playing with all the interactive features. The Smart Brick adds lights, sounds and reactions as they move Pikachu around and use the different parts of the set. I also really liked that it comes with a wireless charger. Simply lay the Smart Brick on top of it to charge, so there are no little cords to plug into the brick every time it needs a charge. My kids especially liked throwing the Poké Ball at the target, training Pikachu with the practice dummy and pretending to feed it the little sandwich. The treehouse is really cute and has a hidden bed that appears when you turn the dial. There are plenty of fun little details to keep kids interested even after they finish building it. Overall, its a fun set to put together and even more fun for them to play with afterward!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 years kid is super excited to get this set! He built everything in about two hours or so. It is his favorite set now. He is obsessed with it. He can play with it for hours and never get bored. He is also excited for smart brick as it is our first time to try it ever. It’s cool. I like that it has so many features.
