LEGO has always done a fantastic job with the Speed Champion theme. They are not particularly difficult builds at all, but they are so fun and fulfilling nonetheless. For the mclaren senna, however, the overall result has great looks with the awesome grey/orange color design. Yet the build itself is rather flimsy, especially with the rear spoiler. Even though LEGO’s take on the Senna looks extraordinarily good, it is far too delicate for anything other than display. This is in sharp contrast with other recent Speed champion releases like 75890 (the Ferrari F40). Overall, it was worth the purchase because of the looks and extreme detail, but don’t expect the same playability as with other sets in Speed champions.
I bought this for my son and when I was helping him build the LEGO set it some of the bricks had cracks and I don’t know what to do I am not sure why since the reviews were good so how can I get replacement bricks for the set and how much are they

Oh no! That's no fun. It's really rare for LEGO® bricks to break during normal play. It sounds like maybe they were exposed to high temperatures or a harsh substance. Head over to LEGO.build/BricksPieces to request replacements.
I am a huge fan of the Senna and was pretty exited to build but when i finished to be honest i was underwhelmed like come on lego i have seen Senna's in real life none of them have orange headlights and when i got the Senna it didn't come with any 1x1 triangular tiles seriously not only that but the 1x5 rounded tile in the nose should have been squared not rounded off anyways i'll try to fix but lego, you can do a lot better
This is a nice build for the most part. The finished model looks pretty accurate for the medium. BUT, in all my years of building I’ve never had a set “break the rules.” This one does. The rear assembly does not fit correctly underneath the back of the car. There are slopes that are pushed up out of place when trying to attach the “bumper.” It all just does not fit. The instructions even show the overlap (which is impossible in real life). I’m surprised this one got out this way. Pretty disappointing.

Thanks for your review. Your set definitely shouldn't have any gaps! Those black triangles should actually be sitting further out, that way they don't make any other pieces pop off. The most likely culprit is step #66 in the instructions - if those two 1x2 plates aren't in place, the triangles will be too close in. If you need a hand troubleshooting the build, you can always get in touch at LEGO.build/Service.
I have not built a speed champions set in ages and I must say I was very surprised by this one! Some of the building techniques used were simply amazing to get some of the details resembling the real car, so this is a perfect pick for kids and adults alike, you'll learn a couple of new things and ways of using your LEGO bricks. You get tons of cool elements, great for building details, and the price per piece ratio is really good. A shame it didn't come in a sand bluish color like the real car shown in the back of the box. There is a tremendous amount of stickers (20!) which is often the case with speed champions sets, but a bit too much in my opinion as in such a small build, having to put 20 stickers on takes a lot of time away from actually building with bricks. (Reason why I gave it a challenging rating. Some stickers are really small and hard to place) Another thing I noticed is that when you seat your pilot in the car and put the windscreen on, theres a collision between the pilot and the glass, causing there to be a tiny gap that doesn't let the thing be 100% closed off. It is so tiny, you probably won't even notice and I'm just nitpicking at this point. All in all a great set! You won't be disappointed if you get it, and you'll learn a few new LEGO tricks along the way I can guarantee!
I haven't built Lego since I was a child but in the mood for something to construct I decided to buy a Lego set and this was my pick - something relatively small, not too basic but also not too complicated - to see if I still enjoyed it. Well I did and this was a brilliant first pick. The instructions were easy to follow and soon I had this fantastic McLaren Senna. A couple of negatives; I find the windshield a little flimsy as it is removable and the front doesn't secure onto anything. Also, the stickers being see through in a few places and quite small meant that it was impossible not to get finger marks on them removing them from the sheet to place and this meant the look wasn't quite as flawless as it should be. Also, and this may be general to Lego and not specific to this set, but I found the fact that the pieces were sorted into no specific order in their packets odd and difficult. However, this is only a small point and for a set this size not too much of an issue. It's safe to say I am hooked again and have already purchased and built my next set!
