Spark kids' imagination as they race through Tatooine (or the living room) with Anakin's Podracer - 20th Anniversary Edition. Released to celebrate two decades of LEGO Star Wars, this collectible building toy is a reinterpretation of the original Podracer model from 1999. It features big engines, extending flaps, space to fit the young Anakin Skywalker minifigure in the cockpit and a handle to play out race scenes from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. There are 3 minifigures in total in this 279-piece set, including a Luke Skywalker minifigure (a faithful representation of the original 1999 minifigure) and display stand with 20th anniversary logo to mark this major milestone in LEGO Star Wars history.
This set is the best pod racer set that there is. The only problem is the playing with it you have to have other pod racer. to have fun with it. The stand with it is a good idea, the legs on padme amidala I never seen them before and they are a great idea. This set is a better show case set than a play set.
I got this for my birthday... and I didn't know I wanted this until I got it! This set is a classic throwback, the design is really accurate to the movie, (Unlike the 1999 one lol), the mini-figures are ok, Padmè was really cool to get, Anakin is re-used.., and the 1999 Luke is really cool. Overall this set was really cool to get. I rate 4.5/5.
From my 7 year old son,"it was a really fun Lego set. it was one of the best Lego sets I've ever received. I like it so much because I like how hard it was and I also liked the Luke Skywalker on the display stand. the challenging part was bag 1 and 2 those bags where the jet engines."
Not the hardest build and there could be a bit better articulation on the inlet flaps of the engines but it looks great and you can play with it with ease and won’t easily break. It also looks great. Love the clear stand.
The pod racer was the first Star Wars LEGO set that I had ever had, so when this one came out I knew I had to have it. It was a fun little build and the details are so much better than the original. The minifigures have so much more detail than the originals, and I love the 20th anniversary minifigure that was included. I would definitely recommend adding this to any Star Wars collection you may have.
This rebooted podracer is a great little set to add to a Lego Star Wars collection. It is priced very reasonably and is surprisingly detailed. Overall I really enjoyed building and displaying this set and would recommend it to everyone!
