Description
Children can build a LEGO Super Mario ice level with the Ice Mario Suit and Frozen World Expansion Set (71415). The Super Mario building toy for kids Ages 6+ years old features an Ice Mario suit for the LEGO Mario (figure not included) to wear and LEGO Super Mario figures of a Cooligan and a Goomba. The buildable blue ice plate triggers skating sounds from the interactive LEGO Mario figure when he ‘skates’ on it. There is also a launcher to send the Cooligan flying into a brick-built ice block – when the ice block is smashed, the Goomba is revealed. Kids need to defeat both enemies to collect their coin rewards! (Note: the 71360, 71387 or 71403 interactive toy Starter Course is required for play.) This collectible toy playset is ideal for solo or social play, plus kids can download the LEGO Super Mario app for building instructions and more. Goomba mechanism is extremely clunky and hard to keep in position once it's made, I understand the goal here, but it causes more frustration then its worth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit is an extension to the Mario Lego sets, it does not include Lego Mario, so make sure you have a starter kit first, which we do. We love the interchangeable outfit that allows you to match Mario to the "land" he is in, just like the real games. As with the other sets, this set also includes some fun pieces that make real Mario game noises. It also attaches well to the other Lego Mario sets. My daughter loves using her imagination to create her own Mario games by attaching the various sets.

He loves putting Lego’s together and he loves Super Mario so this was the perfect gift for him. We just pulled up the instructions online and he was able to put it together with minimal assistance. He loves the launcher feature and since we already have a Luigi and Mario set so Mario can wear the Ice Mario suitr and it also includes figures of a Cooligan and a Goomba. This expansion set is perfect and I highly recommend it!
