LEGO Technic Fast & Furious Dom's Dodge Charger Set 42111

This is a terrific build! Just the right amount of complexity to keep things interesting but not so difficult (or expensive) as to be frustrating. Plus, the final build looks great and the features are awesome (suspension, opening trunk and hood, doors, steering). More Technic models in this price range/complexity, please!

My second build with Technic and really enjoying the difference between it and traditional. My only critique would be that it’s very hard at times to see exactly where a piece goes the way the instructions are laid out which can lead to corrections being needed further along. Would love to see 3D instructions like the Mario sets to make it easier. Overall great functionality, cool design and lots of details that are so much fun to put together and bring back memories of the movie. Would recommend.

I did not buy this for myself. It was bought for an avid fan of building with Lego.

Very expensive but definitely worth it to see the smile on my friend’s face for Christmas

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he was overjoyed! He loved the attention to detail that this set has and the playability of it.

was given as a gift before pandemic, big challenge, am colorblind in one eye,limited in other for cataracts. was a blast, had to tear down and rebuild a couple of sections due to having used wrong piece. lost one piece, found it a year later. Lego wasted no time, no hassle. recieved part 2 wks later, finished. total time invested aprox 3 weeks. would love another. also bought light kit for, going to add soon. was hooked on so bad, when not at dialysis, was working on build. definitely worth it.

This built has taken me almost two years to do. every time I start there's part missing, in my last replacement part order I mad it took about 8 months to get the parts and now that I think it is good to continue, several steps into it another part missing. This is the fourth time getting replacement parts. POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!!

After hours and hours, it looks complete. But you can’t play with it - and the “wheelie stand” - terrible. The wheels don’t turn and the stand doesn’t support the weight. If there was ever the need for a set of 3D instructions, this was it. I spent literally hours just staring at various parts of the instructions trying to figure out where to put the modules just built - and obviously I must have done at least a few wrong since the stand doesn’t stay up and the wheels don’t turn when the car is on a surface (they turn fine when I lift the car off a surface). And the idea of having to pull the thing apart to fix it - frightening. So, my son, who is a die hard Fast ‘N Furious fan can’t really play with it. There were so many times when I thought “really, this is the best way to build this?!?” And a few times thought that I must have skipped pages or had them turn on me so that things were being done out of order. This was not an easy build in so many places. And then, in others, it was so over simplified I thought I must have done something wrong. On the positive side - it’s a big car when done. And despite some of the criticism about the way it looks, it looks enough like the car to be something my son thinks looks cool. I would have given it a better “value for the $” rating if (1) the instructions were better and (2) if he could play with it. Any suggestions on how to get the wheels to turn - I’m all ears!

The box and description leave out that this set has front and rear suspension, a differential, and rack and pinion steering. The build is quite challenging and well worth the price!

my kid loves it. he didnt ask for help so i guess the instrctions were simple for a 9 yr old.

This is the highest piece count I have done for a lego technic set. I have done other technic sets before so this one wasn't to hard for mee. I watched some of the fast and furious movies while I built it which made the experience even better. I love how the doors truck and hood open up. Also the pistons in the engine moving with the wheels and the blower motor belt spinning too! I think this is an awesome set. If you enjoy the fast and furious movies you should get this set.

The last set I bought did not resonate with me and was on the verge of ruining building Lego for me. I bought this as I always enjoy the technic elements in sets and I wanted to dip my toes into the technic cars. My hobby is saved! It’s a simple build, it’s a basic build, but it’s fun build. Playability is limited to steering and wheelie bar but it looks cool. Definitely look up how to lower the car as it makes it look so much better. There are some fragile parts if you’re going to push it around but nothing that’s hard to put back on. If you’re a fan of muscle cars, or Fast & Furious, it’s not terrible at all. More sets from the movie to compliment this would be appreciated. Biggest con is it could have been a creator set and looked just a bit better, but like I said, it’s also a good first step into technic. I already have the Land Rover on the way for my next project.

FUN LEGO SET. GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS

I wasn’t sure about getting this car for my collection, and was thinking of the new Batmobile too. Once the set came and I started building it, I started to love it. The car looks great and has lots of functionality. The engine looks good and the car looks great with my other ones.

I loved this set from the start of the build, all the way to displaying it. It’s very cinematically correct. The only critique I have for this set is it has a tad bit too much suspension. Otherwise, this product is amazing

Came out great! Real cool to see the pistons move inside the engine! Took a bit to build but definitely worth it! Just be careful with the front bumper because it can easily come off. Lift it from under the body of the car not the bumpers

Gave to my 10 year old son. It is a little more challenging than most lego sets so it takes him a little more time. But turned out great.

The build was great, took me back to simpler times, although I had to come back up to date to order some parts which were missing. But the finished article is terrible, it's far to heavy for the running gear, the steering locks up at close to full lock and the rear wheels / axels / diff bend and judder when the model is pushed along. All in all a disappointing return to Lego, I may not think about buying bigger sets if this is where things stand.

Looks great in pictures but is actually cheap in quality. Definitely not worth the price, don’t buy this junk
