It was an accident. I screamed. Everyone screamed. The drop also shattered a nearby coffee mug. I thought I'd be opening this up to see a broken touchscreen and need to replace the whole tablet. On the contrary! It did not seem to even notice that I had tried to assassinate it. Absolute tank. Unkillable. This laptop is a powerful vampire. Do not go into this thing expecting it to process the kind of tasks you'd run on a laptop. If your work gave you this and said it was a laptop, sorry about your life. This is a tablet that is shaped like a laptop. Treat it like a tablet, and you and IdeaPad Flex 5 will get along fine.

It is good for its price It comes with standard laptop specifications but if you do get one make sure its a Amd CPU and not a Intel version because It overheats easily.

I do wish the battery life was a tad longer- without battery saver on, I only get about 4-5 hours of life on it, and the screen with the battery saver on is far too dim to actually be productive. However, as someone who uses this primarily for school and a little bit of light, offline gaming, this computer works fabulously. I do miss the old pen dashboard that the 2018-era Windows had, where you can doodle directly onto webpages and save them as PDFs. Would help a lot for lectures. Despite these issues, this is overall a really good budget option for students.

I bought this in May of 2021 and by July of 2021 the rubber boots on the bottom of the case had fallen off. Over the course of the next 3-4 months, one by one the large screws unscrewed themselves and left me with 6 of 9 and only two being the ones which secure the hinges which are now pulling away from the chassis and to top it off I have a usb interface that reports failure starting and is my webcam. I have attempted to resolve this through Lenovo on three occasions in which they deleted my request for service without reason. I pay for my warranty which also has an accidental damage clause. Either way, this is not what I expect from Lenovo.

I just learned after having my system for less than a year that it does not stream wirelessly. But it is supposed to be a business system. I was planning to do a work meeting by streaming the meeting to my TV so I could see better as the meeting is all-day, however, I just learned that streaming to a TV as your monitor which many organizations use now opposed to regular monitors is not allowed with this computer. I am very disappointed now as the TV was going to be my second monitor so I could type on my Lenovo Flex while viewing the presentation. This feature was not mentioned as not included in the description of the product and since I have never had a computer that I can remember that did not stream for dual views I did not think one was even made without this feature. Now I have the difficult task of trying to see two screens on one 14" screen where I will barely be able to read the content. Also, the mic seems to not be very good and people are saying it sounds like someone is banging pots and pans in my background if I do not have a headset on in my meetings.

USB C Port Issue

Can you explain why the USB C port wouldn't have this capability? I have the YOGA and have no issues, and I got the Flex for work and Travel. Wouldn't recommend the Flex at all, But love my YOGA!

I bought this in June and didn’t really use it until August when school started. It worked fine at first but now all it does is Blue Screen when I need it the most. It keeps saying “driver_power_state_failure” but when I look up the error code online none of the advice helps. Now, the laptop wont even boot, and if it does the fans turn on to 100% and the keyboard and mouse don’t activate. When it does work, it works wonderfully, but when you rely on a laptop to do everything, it kind of messes you up when it doesn’t work. Would not recommend.

I bought this about a year ago and was excited because I thought I would finally have a computer that had enough ram for what I do 3d programs. I have 16gb ram. I cannot upgrade that, but I can upgrade the SSD. Hoping that works. My older laptops with 4gb of ram ran better than this
