The LG 12,000 BTU 230V window-mounted air conditioner with 11,200 BTU supplemental heat function gives you everything you love about an air conditioner and more! Whether it’s cold in April or hot in October, this unit has you covered so you can always feel comfortable at home. In addition to cooling, this versatile unit offers supplemental heating, providing you with an additional heat source to your main heat source when outdoor temperatures are above 45 degrees Fahrenheit. PLEASE NOTE: This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.
Bought this unit for a portable building. Have been able to use it for both A/C and heat and am very satisfied with it's performance. Even though we've only had it for a very short time, we feel we will be very happy with it.
I purchased this for a converted garage to make into my son's bonus room. The area is less than 450 square feet; so I felt this model was a good choice. I always liked LG products; but, I believe this AC unit does not sufficiently cool down the room as designed. I hear the fan going but there is no consistent cold air coming from it. Even though, I had it professionally installed and had a new outlet changed due to the AC unit plug design; I believe I wasted a lot of money to have the LG AC unit acting merely as an expensive fan. I already threw out the box and packaging, so I cannot return to Home Depot where it was purchased. If you have any suggestions to help, please let me know. It just doesn't cool down the room very well. Thank you.

We finally installed the unit a week ago and it works very well. Only one suggestion for improvement - the air deflector assembly is not very effective in directing the side-to-side air flow as the vertical deflector vanes are too short to deflect all of the output air flow.
