Description
The LG Dual Inverter air conditioners are the best in cooling innovation. This ultra quiet unit operates at 44 dB in sleep mode, almost as quiet as a library. In addition, the DUAL Inverter technology allows the unit to operate efficiently saving you as much as 15% on energy costs. Cool your home from anywhere using LG ThinQ technology to control your air conditioner with your phone or use with Amazon Alexa and Hey Google to have control with the sound of your voice. 4 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer allow you to create a cooling schedule to suit your needs. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. Other features include an LCD remote control, easy window installation kit, removable (washable) filter and a check filter alert.

Mobile app allows you to set schedules and turn on/off the units while away from home. Works great with Google assistant. My only complaint is the noises it makes while on silent/sleep mode - because the fan is so low you can hear a weird whooshing noise presumably created by the compressor. It's not terribly loud but because it's not a consistent white noise it's a bit annoying when trying to sleep.

LG needs to add the option to turn off the annoying beep that this AC makes every time you do something. LG also needs to make the sleep mode fan speed available without sleep mode. Sleep mode is annoying when you just want the AC at it's quietest without having to lower the set temperature since the sleep mode raises it incrementally.

It is super quiet and the hum is actually similar to the white noise generator I sleep with anyway so it works out well. I also like the digital thermostat and wifi enabled features so I can monitor it from my phone anywhere. I am hoping to save some money on energy with the dual-inverter design along with using the energy save mode and it takes some of the load off the unit on the other side of my condo as a supplemental/backup AC unit.

It keeps the place only about 10 degrees cooler from 90 degrees outside to about 74 inside - That's the lowest it can go. The fans blades are manually adjustable, you have to get up and move them (Not by phone) and doesn't really blow air into the direction you want. It will keep the heat out and cool your apartment, but you will have to have it on for a long period of time (Min 2-3 hours). Please make sure to know your apartment size with the corresponding CPU. There is no feature to blast "Cool" more, that's only for "Fan".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely the quietest air conditioner I have ever had--on the fan on the lowest setting I can barely hear it-on the second setting a little louder but still very quiet-even on full blast it's better than the last one we had, which would wake me up. It is a heavy air conditioner and with the main parts hanging outside, I would recommend a support bracket. I knew the 9,500 BTU I picked was going to be borderline too small, but so far it seems to be handling the room size--we'll see when we get into the 90 degree stretches of temps. Great air conditioner so far - I would highly recommend if you're dealing with a noisy one.

The dual inverter motor don't jolt and make a loud sound when the compressor kicks in. So will not wake you up in the middle of the night. I use the dry mode a lot because regular air conditioner gives me nasal problems. The wi-fi controls work and easy to connect, but times are slow to make changes on the app. Maybe the app needs more work?
