LifeStraw Go 2-stage filtration incorporates a carbon capsule in addition to the existing award-winning technology into a refillable water bottle so you can access safe drinking water with you on the go. The hollow fiber membrane filter (1st stage) removes Removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria (>LOG 6 reduction), including E-Coli and 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites (>LOG 3 reduction), including Giardia & Cryptosporidium up to 264 gallons or 1,000 liters.
The activated carbon capsule (2nd stage) reduces chlorine, bad taste and odor for up to 26 gallons, or 100 liters, the equivalent of 3 months of continuous use. LifeStraw Go 2-Stage Filtration is available in 5 colors. Replacement hollow fiber membrane cartridges and carbon capsules are available to purchase.

a wonderful purchase as far as price compared to other stores.. Have not tested on brown water yet, hoping I never have to.. It does not leak at all and it works very well on tap water so far!

Of course I haven't tested this with dirty water but I have used it with tap water. It requires a surprising and uncomfortable amount of suction on the straw to pull up the water, which I suppose means it is going through the intended filters but nevertheless cost it one star IMHO.
