Based on the experience of other reviewers and my own, these bulbs really meet the criteria of "You get what you pay for". One, was defective right out of the box and had to throw it away, and the one I installed on a desk lamp burned out after two months of regular use.
These bulbs are junk! JUNK! I put them in my outside light on the side of my house while outside I noticed it was smoking. After a phone call to my dad (an electrician) he informed me these bulbs are such shotty quality that the entire end of the nipple of the bulb isn't covered! I have used GE halogen bulbs purchased in store and love these. These 75w equivalent (53w) and other wattages. They use more than LED bulbs and CFL bulbs but less than standard incandescent bulbs. Still, at 53w it is well worth it and would always choose these GE halogen bulbs (around 3000K light...see moreof the reviewer's review
