We were a bit dubious about this gadget but sure enough it does repair circuits. I saved time and also saved us from needing to purchase a new pre-lit tree. Highly recommended!

This is a great tool. Easy to use and effective in finding defective bulb shunts. Two clicks of the voltage checker found the culprit and then one round of about 5 clicks of the bulb deadener resulted in 75% of the bulbs relighting. The bulbs provided in the gun were enough to replace the rest. We’ll worth the $

The light keeper pro fixed the prelit tree that hadn’t worked in years. I was able to test and replace bulbs and fix all of my partially lit strings with ease. Love it!

I’m having a difficult time figuring out how to use it according to the instructions and diagrams given, but even I do get it to work, it’s awesome, just very time consuming.

Worked as described and help us completely fix our pre-lit Christmas tree that we’ve had (and that has been slowly going out) for a few years. My handy husband watched the videos several times, and still can't get it to work. Bummer.

My tree had 3 sections with 5 - 12 bulbs out and now all are lit. When new bulbs didn't light up I searched how to fix Christmas lights and this gem showed up. You need to be patient but it works as advertised.

I told my husband we should put the Christmas Tree a week before Thanksgiving. It was too soon. Then we got it out the day after Thanksgiving and found a whole section dead. If we we saw this 7 days prior the tree still would've been under warranty! But I scoured the internet, found this gadget on YouTube and picked it up the same day. The whole strand was dead, so I swapped all of the burned out bulbs and used the tester to find two dead bulb inside of the tree that was causing all of them to burn out. Lights are shining brightly now! At the end of the season we will be pulling the tree to the middle of the room to check for dead bulbs and packing it away a lot more carefully.

Saved so much time I’m helping to find the burned out bulbs on our pre-lit tree! The size does make it a little awkward when checking sockets.

I have a 4 year old Balsam Hill prelit tree. The kind where you just connect the 3 pieces to each other and the power source is in the tree trunk itself. 2 years ago, I notice one of the light string on the tree top did not turn on. I checked all the bulbs, connections, fuses etc. but it just wouldn’t turn on. The area was small so you couldn’t really tell when it was turned on. This year, there were 3 sections not lighting up. The very top section of the treetop (which again was a small area) but also a large section down in the lower section. Well, again I went through the whole checking process and nothing worked. So I bought this little repair kit in case it might work. Alas, it did not. But I do think it detected that there was no power coming to the top section. So, I just turned my tree around with the large lower unlit section facing the wall and my tree still looked pretty good from a lighting perspective. When I started to decorate my tree, when I inserted a floral stem into the top section, it hit the top tree trunk and I don’t know what happened, but the lights in the lower section came on and also on the top of the tree!!! The small section that had been out for 2 years was still out. Not sure what I did when that floral stem hit the tree trunk, but it must have done something to turn those 2 sections on. Hopefully I can figure it out when I take the tree down this year. So, I can’t really recommend this repair kit because I’m not sure if it did anything. But in case it did, I give it 3 stars.

OMG, this thing actually works. Purchased it as a last-ditch effort to get a section of my 45 ft pre-lit garland to light. Three clicks and it was just like new. Saved me hours of aggravation and $$$ since I didn’t have to purchase new garland. Definitively recommend.

Like others said, works as advertised. Spent an hour trying to manually find the issue and this fixed the entire section in 5 seconds without replacing any bulbs
