This is a really nice frame, espeically for the price. I'm actually not sure if the clear part is glass or not, because it doesn't make that "glass sound" when you tap it, but even if it is plastic it is a VERY NICE plastic- not the cheap stuff that looks cloudy at times and has a weird shine to it....see moreof the reviewer's review
