This is a BEAUTIFUL desk... however... I had SERVERAL missing parts including the spring hinges, which I imagine is SUPER important for support when the door is open. I was also missing the USB charging port... When I chatted to get a replacement part, they offered to REPLACE THE WHOLE THING... After I told them I was 90% done with it!!! Ugh... I guess I will live without the USB charging port but I have to figure out some alternative for the hinges. It's crazy to me that the only option for replacement was replacing the whole bulky package... which would mean I would have to disassemble the one I got and return it.
This product arrived partially damaged. I called Target to get a replacement part but they didn't have any in stock so I received a discount, instead. Pros: stylish design; built in outlet Cons: Strong fumes; Not all outlets work; need two people to assemble (I did it myself, but realized halfway through that it would've been much quicker with another set of hands, especially when attaching the cover/door)
I am on the fence about this desk. I loved the design and the overall looks of the desk. For the most part, the assembly was fairly easy. But when I got the part of the desk where it folds down I feel like the quality of the material could've been better. No matter what I did the hinges are stripping the particle board. Thats my only complaint. I know ill need a new board but I afraid to even try to put it back
I am really happy with this purchase. I work from home and wanted a desk that could hide my work when I have visitors over (since it's in my main living space). The height between the base of the desk to the book shelves was half an inch too short to fit my large monitor, so I ordered an adjustable monitor arm to mount my monitor and it works out fantastically. With the add of the arm I decided not to add the board backing to the desk. Thankfully the backing for the desk and the bookshelves are separate pieces. I found the assembly to be easy, just needed an extra set of hands to attach the folding table to the desk.
i purchased this desk online in February 2017. i love this desk! i work from home and needed a nice, sturdy desk to use every day. there were 3 chips in the wood, but thankfully they were in the back and not noticeable. but the whole desk is made of actual, thick wood! the color was just as shown online. it took my husband and i about an hour an a half to put together. i love that when the front is closed it's very clean and streamlined, and when the front is open there is actually a very large work area. the only downside is that i use a double monitor for my work and the two screens do not sit side by side, i have to angle one of them and overlap just a little bit; it could use another 6 inches in length and everything would fit comfortably. overall, love this desk and would recommend it.
