I've been trying to grow organic potatoes for a few years now and I really like the potato grow bags but I've yet to get consistent results as to size of the potatoes. I read some advice about potatoes needing an acid soil, so I got the tester kit to find out. The soil is neutral at 7 and the recommendation was 4.5 to 6 so I've added an organic soil acidifier and hope it will help. Have to wait until the harvest to see if it did.

Tested my mixture of soil for raised gardens showed the correct PH level, took the guesswork out....Plants are happy!!

I am a professional gardener. I have bought several of these kits for testing purposes and none of them gave usuable results. I performed more than five tests each using different soil samples. The kit gave me results of low N-P-K and that my ph was nuetral. A soils test performed at a lab indicated my pH was 7.5(Alkaline), N was low, P was Very High, and K was Very High.

Viola! My wife has been dissapointed ever since I bought her a hydrangea for mother's day 2 years ago. Why? Because she was longing for blue flowers, not he pink ones that were blooming. I purchased one of your handy dandy easy to use PH testers, analyzed the soil acidity, and added the proper conditioner. Guess what? This year - blue flowers!! My wife's happy and and so am I.
