Even using MAC for at least 10+ years. This powder is basically translucent and provides little coverage compared to the last formula it also is dusty and gets everywhere. Would not recommend. Hopefully they return to their old formula or it’s time to try another brand.

I'm a NW43 in the old formula and it said I would be a NW44. Looked at those and saw that the old formula for those numbers kept them with the same number for the new formula so I decided to stay with my same number and I'm so glad I did because my NW 43 in the new formula is like SKIN. I love this new formula. I some days just just foundation with absolutely nothing but clear lip oil. Thanks Mac this new foundation is perfect for me and my skin.

I gavevworn NC 35 for many years and with the changes the color is not the same. It is also not a maximum coverage like it use to be. I will never buy again. Very disappointed

I have used the studio fix powder for years. They changed the formula, which I don't mind. But I no longer have a good color match. I was N3 in the OG version. They didn't include N3 in the new version. Both colors that were suggested to use instead didn't work for me. Guess I have to find a new powder foundation. Disappointed because I loved this.

Whhhhy did you change the formula? It separates on the skin and is patchy. The color match is terrible too. Please fix this, it was perfection prior to the change!

I usually wear NC25 and didn't realize they were changing the formula and shades! This is a completely different color now. It looks so gross and orange. Such a disappointment.

I've worn powder foundation for a good 15 years or more. I've been using the original Studio Fix Powder for the last 6 years. Out of all the previous powder foundations I've tried, the original Studio Fix had the best coverage and best color match for me (NC10). I went into the new formula already skeptical and my feelings were confirmed after trying it...my once perfect color match was now darker and had considerable less coverage. To get any decent coverage you have to pack it on which then just looks super powdery & still didn't have the coverage I was used to. I can understand brands wanting to remove talc from foundations because of potential risks, but they need to find a suitable replacement for it! I tried a few other talc free foundations to try to find a replacement, but I ran into the same issues with color and coverage with everything I tried. I think I may have finally found a replacement in Clinique's Beyond Perfecting powder foundation. It seems to have pretty similar coverage to the original Studio Fix, it just has a very limited color selection.
Saying goodbye after 30 years of loyalty.

After my last purchase, I was completely unaware that the formulation had changed. after 30 years of loyalty. I sadly have to say goodbye to Mac Studio Fix. Like many others, the color was completely different. But even more disturbing. When I tried to give it a chance. It literally crumbled and broke in my makeup bag in my purse. In less than 3 days after the purchase. Complete waste of money. Studio fix has been my go-to for most of my makeup wearing existence. Not sure why they thought to change it. But my business has now gone elsewhere. Will miss the old formulation, original compact and sponge that actually worked. Not to mention the older formulation would last three plus months of daily use. As I stated before this crumbled in my purse in less than 3 days.

I got the new compact two weeks ago of my beloved Studio Fix which I've been using for many years. I have already hit the pan. Not joking. My compacts used to last me so long I would wonder if it was safe to still be using it, like was it still hygenic? This is insane what Mac has done. They've ruined this product and I'm sure this is some shady "shrinkflation" situation and well, no way am I buying foundation this often. Are you kidding???

Why are we shade changing

Been using NC20 for yearsssss, did my most recent order and received a shade that is orange, and not even remotely light skinned adjacent. I thought maybe it was me and there had just been an error in manufacturing, went to the reviews and come to find out that tons of other customers are experiencing this too. Why would you change shades that have been established for years, if not decades, and not even alert your customers?? And make matters worse I can't even find the actual shade I want anymore. Guess I won't be using Mac anymore.
New Formula Failure

As with many others, I've been using this foundation for over a decade. When I re-ordered about a month ago, I was hoping that just the shades/numbers had changed. Nope. It all changed. First off, the shade that MAC recommended for me was off in a bad way. But mostly, the consistency of the foundation is different, and the coverage is not the same. For full coverage, it takes a lot more and it also seems like there's just less product overall. The powder seems more dry and powdery. I'm not any kind of makeup expert, so it's hard for me to explain, which is why I don't normally write reviews for makeup. However, I felt obligated to write a review because I loved this foundation, and used it for over a decade. Fortunately, I saved many of my old mostly used MAC compacts (with the old formula), so I'm going to be living off those until I can find a new foundation. Bad move, MAC. You're losing a lot of loyal customers.

WHY did they decide to change the formula when there was nothing wrong with the original? I've tried two different shades because my original was NC40 and I've been unable to find anything that matches close to that not even the current NC40. When applying this foundation, it's like weird and chalky. It also settled into my skin weird, exposing every single pore and blemish on my face. I'm really sad that I'll have to find a new powder foundation. The original was so much better. MAC really messed up with this one.
