Purchased this in October 2016. We have two cats, 11 lbs and 14 lbs. The heavier cat broke the secondary perch in March 2017. We fixed it, but he broke it again a month later. I have two 18 lb. Maine coons, so I needed something sturdy. I also needed something that was tall enough to reach my windows, as I live in a basement bedroom that is 3/4 underground.
