This was a gift for my daughter and all nail polishes came dried up like clay. Even tried putting a little nail polish remover didn’t work. This product is faulty and not cheap to just throw away to the garbage! I attached a picture where you can see the nail polish is garbage the white clay is the nail polish. As I stated above I did try nail polish remover to soften it up and it didn’t work. The other picture is the first attempt only following the instructions and same results.

Got this for Christmas. Used it a couple of times. Got it out today (March) and all the sealed containers were hard as a rock. Save your money...seems like it's just Elmer's glue and food color.

First of all the white nail polish base was literally like putty. When me and my daughter tried to shake the bottle like what instructions told us to, it just would not mix up. It just gotta climb here and then my daughter tried to take it out of the container and then when she put on her nails, it was just all clumpy and goopy. I would not recommend buying this, especially for a Christmas gift or for a birthday gift.

cups aren't full enough; can't even paint all her nails once let alone two coats quality for "design work" is poor; can't do the blending and deigns described colors wasted every time you stop using it, yet you only have 4 possible bottles of polish to make and it stains their nails, so you have to do a first coat with clear and if you miss this step, your nails are stained for the next 6 weeks

Got this for my girl's 7th birthday. she was so excited too. first problem, the yellow did not freely flow. It never came out. so, we thought, fine. we'll just choose. color that just needed the red and blue. we made 2 polish. after a day, the remaining polish was tried up. maybe we didn't read and that it can only be used once. If so, that really sucks. I mean, might as well buy the other water based polish and not bother with trying to make one,

So many issues with this product. 1) looks like it needs batteries but there are no metal connections - it does NOT need batteries. follow instructions and it works as intended. 2) only gives you 4 little bottles which gives you about 2 minutes of play time - maybe less, and 3) the piece de resistance - it completely stains your nails within minutes. My child and her friend's nails look like they have a fungus and will have to completely grow out to go away. Its even too dark to paint over. So gross looking. save yourself the money and heartache!!

Came in unusable!! It was a Christmas gift for my daughter we finally got around to opening it and wham no contacts in the battery compartment. Reached out to company they sent a replacement and again no metal contacts in the battery compartment!! Unbelievable!! Isn’t that a main pc to make your item function and you forget to put that of in!! I just don’t get and neither should you. Stay away!!

This item couldn't be used as directed. I received 2 of these and they both had the same defect. The battery compartment didn't have any contacts to power it up. Needless to say, I had to ask for a refund after the replacement came in.

DO NOT BUY IT. We have bought 3 now and all 3 have been broken before even assembling. The battery component is missing the metal conductor pieces to make the battery power the toy. I literally cannot make it up, like how does a toy manufacturer miss that? Would rate 0 stars if I could. Huge waste of time & money.

This was a fun set, and my daughter loved creating unique designs on our nails. BUT when I removed the polish off of my nails the next day, the paint had seeped into and STAINED my nails permanently. No amount of nail polish remover will remove the designs my daughter painted. I have to cover them with real polish or just wait for the nails to grow out. We will never use the kit again.

I got this for a friend’s birthday, and thought it was so awesome that I needed to buy one for myself. The setup wasn’t too bad, and it’s really fun that you can choose whatever colors you want and stuff, but the nail polish comes out HORRIBLE!!! It’s weird, clumpy, hard to mix together, and somewhat watery. I really should have taken that as a warning, but I painted my nails with it anyway. BIG MISTAKE! After 3 coats, the nail polish still looked clearish and clumpy, which is how it dried. Later, it started peeling off like weird rubbery fake nails, and that’s when I noticed it STAINED MY NAILS! I tried everything I could to get it off, warm water and soap and stuff like the instructions said, but that didn’t do anything. I even tried 100% acetone nail polish remover for crying out loud! And it did NOTHING I tell you! NOTHING! People kept asking if I drew on my nails with marker! That’s just downright embarrassing! I really hope my friend doesn’t use it, because that would SUCK. Also, it cost WAY more than it’s actually worth. Just don’t do this to yourself, don’t buy it. I really hope that some makes a MUCH better version of this though, because the concept is really cool, but until then, STAY AWAY from this horrific product.

Bought this without reading any reviews because I thought it would be great for my 5 year old who loves science and fancy things. It was the favorite Christmas gift! My 2 1/2 year old loved it too. Seems like it would be great for older elementary girls as well. The polish was smooth and the colors turned out so well after the second coat. The instructions were clear and it was easy to use. Super happy with the product and going to get for all the little girl birthdays we have coming up. So fun! Will have to see how long the polish lasts, but honestly at this age, normal polish only lasts a few days for them. Only strange part was it has a space for batteries and doesn’t use batteries, but doesn’t act impact anything. Highly recommend!
