Have you ever tasted plain corn syrup? That's what this liquid tastes like. Not even with a little sweetness. Even the cherries had that funky taste. I returned it and got some in a glass jar at the grocery store that tasted like real maraschino cherries.

I'd say it's almost as good as on-brand cherries (it is a little more zingy). I wish they made a larger jar though (the container is weirdly plastic, not glass) because I used about half for one pineapple upside down cake.

I had these shipped and they leaked red juice all over the box and other items. This was because the container is plastic and then lid is metal. For the price point I wasn’t expecting much quality. Makes a cute garnish but they have little to no flavor.
