Mario Badescu Skincare Acne Starter Regimen Kit - 0.5oz - Ulta Beauty

Cleanser didn't irritate my sensitive skin & has a pleasant smell. Toner, dry paste & mask have really helped my pores around my nose look clean and smaller and have helped with blemishes. I don't use the moisturizer on my face, but I use it on my neck and chest and they are noticeably softer feeling and looking.

I used this regimen for a few weeks and saw no difference. Not sure if I had hormonal acne or mask-ne since it was mostly on the lower half of my face, but this did nothing to help. It helped smooth my skin slightly, but that's about it. The mask also smells strongly of burning rubber 🤢 I wound up trashing the whole set and switched to La Roche-Posay salicylic face wash and Touch 4.5% Benzoyl Peroxide cream twice and day and both helped immensely. I still get 1-2 zits, but way better than 8+.

I deal with hormonal acne so I don't need this product on the daily but I definitely recommend it. It's fast acting , it got rid of my outbreak in two days either preventing the future outbreaks from happening or healing what already happened within those two days. It's keeping my skin from producing the extra oil that it normally does during certain times of the month. It's staying clear and healthy. It does dry the skin out a little so have additional spf or moisturizer to use.

I have combination skin and have been breaking out lately (probably due to stress). Anyways, was really excited to dry this due to the good reviews. Unfortunately not for me. The drying mask left my face peeling and irritated. The cleanser felt too thick and am not very fond of the texture. Followed instructions and the recommended steps but left my skin red and worse than before.

I bought this for my teenage daughter who was having problems with breakouts. I tried everything. After talking to an Ulta clerk she suggested Mario Badescu. I use several products from but I didn't realize they had an acne line of products. I have used the Pink Lotion for on the spot treatment and she loves that. She plays softball year round so her oily skin has really become a problem since hitting her teeens. Her skin has cleared up in a matter of days and looks the best it has in a long time. It has only been a week since she started using the acne regime along with the Anti Acne Serum but the change in her skin has been amazing.

I have been using the cleanser, lotion, and SPF moisturizer daily. I used the drying mask after a breakout once but haven't needed it much because my skin is so clear at the moment. I haven't needed makeup in days!

This was good in order to set a routine. Beyond that, wasn't really worth it. The mask was terrible and flaked off my skin, all over my apartment when I used it. If you have oily or acne prone skin, you should look for products specifically geared toward fixing it. This didn't really improve my acne or oily skin.

I was never super prone to acne and only really got pimples on my forehead or when I would wear makeup for long periods of time. But after having to wear masks in public, I began to get very bad "mascne" on my chin, cheeks, and nose. I tried so many different cleansers, toners, and moisturizers and this is the only combination that made any noticeable impact in my mascne. It cleared up about 80% of my acne and I loved the results so much that I ultimately ordered all the products in their full sizes. Be wary though that this regimen will dry out your skin when you first start it, so I wouldn't recommend starting it in the winter. It also seems like it wouldn't work on dry or sensitive skin because of the nature of the products. I think it only really works for me because I have very oily skin.

This system of products did not clear my acne whatsoever. I have more oily skin and tend to get hormonal acne around my cheeks and jawline. I actually think it may have made it worse. I was very disappointed.

I use this product for my acne I had some doubts about this product but I gave it a chance and it worked on me and it has reduce my acne and it it's so much better now.

literally made my entire face break out in the span of a day. pimples and red marks all over my face. also made my skin very dry. if u have sensative skin and are looking for a kit, use the dermalogica sensative skin one. cleared me up from this mess and my regular acne.

NO NO NO DID I MENTION NO. This gave me a rash MONTHS ago that still hasn't recovered. These are HEAVILY fragranced and have awful formulas. Please don't buy this if you want your skin to be healthy.

I have mild hormonal acne-those pesky and painful bumps on the jawline and chin (especially around the time of my period). I had a little bit of a breakout going on, and bought this product. I used the cleanser, lotion, and drying mask all before bed, and the next morning I could see a difference. The redness was reduced and the bumps felt significantly smaller. I've been using all these products nightly for about a week, and my acne is almost completely gone.

I bought this in October, a little bit before Halloween, and I decided to let my skin be itself for a month so I could see more visible changes once I start using the product. I actually start using it a few days before Thanksgiving. At first, I *could* see visible changes in my skin. Some of the acne on my forehead was clearing up, so did some of the ones on my chin, and it was even helping my blackheads! But...on the third week, the moisturizer was starting to burn me. I didn't think too much of it at the beginning because it was a mild tingly feeling and I figured it was working as it should. It got to the point where it eould sting so badly, I'd regret to put it on. Not to mention, I noticed my skin was beginning to peel...badly. I couldn't brush my hair back or a small patch of skin will peel and it became this domino effect with the rest of my face. I'll admit that it was really the drying mask, despite the awful smell it had, and the acne facial cleanser that helped me. I encourage extreme caution towards the moisturizer. I will not use this product again.

It worked great to clear my skin and make it smooth. The drying mask and cream are not my favorite. My drying cream came all dried up and was completely unusable. The drying mask brings out all the dirt from your pores so be ready for some new breakouts. The face wash does dry your skin but applying the moisturizer throughout the day helped with any flakiness. I would recommend but just be prepared to make it work with your skin! Also the mask and cream SMELL

I got this product in hopes of changing up my skin regimen and boy do I regret it. My face has never reacted so TERRIBLY to a product in my entire life. Do yourself a favor and never put yourself through this.

I made the huge mistake of not doing my own research, learning in depth about skincare and ingredient lists before buying this acne starter kit. I've always had one or two pimples here and there, some of which become cystic, and since working as a healthcare worker full-time during the pandemic I've noticed more breakouts in my chin area. I decided to switch from my Cetaphil gentle cleanser and moisturizer routine to Mario Badescu's acne kit hoping it would target my recent breakouts. I was so committed to these products for 8 weeks, using them exactly as directed on the product labels. My skin broke out SO horribly on my chin and jaw that it literally hurt to move my face. After doing further research, I discovered that the ingredient lists in this product should have stopped me in my tracks. These products are NOT good for your skin, both short-term and long-term, and as soon as I switched back to a simple gentle cleanser, moisturizer and retinoid, my skin immediately began to heal and my face finally doesn't hurt anymore. It is safe to say I will absolutely never buy anything from this company ever again.

I started using this maybe 3 weeks ago and have seen a huge improvement in my acne! It's not completely gone but it's definitely more controlled. I am also less oily and feel very fresh after using this each day. Great purchase

I have cystic oily skin & I was really excited to try this based on the reviews & I had a really great experience with their drying lotion. But, this product was a waste. The face wash did not feel like it was on my skin while I was using it. But after washing my face felt really dry. The toner really didn't feel that great on my skin either.
