Master Lock 8370D Set Your Own Combination Bike Lock 5ft Long

Robber only had to cut halfway through the lock to steal my son’s bike. :(

Looks great and and easily removes and inserts into its arness.

Worked for a couple months, with infrequent use. Then one day it fell off of the bike, the plastic piece that holds the lock to the bike mount just broke off for no reason. The next time I used the lock, it opened just fine to lock my bike up, but would not unlock again. Yea my bike is locked outside of the convenience store. Thanks!! I had to get a ride and tools to cut it off.

Rode into our local downtown, made multiple stops and locked bikes each time. After final stop, came back and the lock wouldn't open with our combination, same one we had used all night and for years. 30 minutes later, still couldn't open the lock. Had to Uber home, grab a hacksaw, and drive back to cut off the lock. Oh, and that only took 2 minutes. What a miserable piece of equipment. This should be removed from the market immediately.

Purchased this lock for my son to lock up his brand new bike doing deliveries until the U lock came. After using it for half a day, it reset and wouldn’t open. Tried everything and had to end up leaving it overnight. Fortunately it was there the next day and he had to cut it.

After using it once, we opened it and it got stuck closing it. Seems other people had the same problem. Tried resetting it and it didn’t work. Had to mess with it to get it to close. Works now but I wonder for how long?

I bought this bike lock two weeks ago when I came to college so that I could have a bike on campus. At first, it worked ok. Then I started to notice that if I left my bike alone for a while, without anyone else touching it the combination would change. Then, I left it in the rain for a class, and when I came back the combination was completely different, and then when I went to lock it again, the lock jammed halfway through locking it. This product does not work, and you will be stuck with the lock half opened and half closed.

Used this lock about 10 times then one day could not open it. The combination jammed and nothing would get it open. Had to have someone drive from home and had to cut it off with bolt cutters. It cut off very easily.

Nice lock, shackle clicks firmly into receiver, numbers roll easily and the mount for bike is handy, cables are one of the hardest locks to cut as the strands separate as you try to cut through them, [...] Bottom line though, locks are just a deterrent, no lock is going to be break proof.

The very first time I used this lock I left my bike in Harvard Square. I came back and it had been cut clean through and my bike was gone. Go for the U lock, it can't be cut like this.
