Masters of the Universe He-Man Figure

Bringing back the 80's for us grown kids and our kids. These nostalgia toys always get me. Hook, line and sinker. I had to have one.

I have the power!!! This is a great figure! He has three excellent accessories, and is very well made!

The figure is just what we were looking for, however when we purchased it in person in the store we payed $20.99.

I found some origins He-man and Skeletor near me in target store. Each figure is supposed to be 14.99 not 20.99. Target, please check the price again...

It's a perfect action figure Like a lot

The combined toy swords of He-Man and Skeletor's sword opens the drawbridge to Castle GreySkull in the 80's. This recreation has included this accuracy so stop complaining you got "half a sword".

Really well made and detailed action figure. Both my (almost) two year old and 5 year old love it. True to the classic!

Figures are a huge upgrade to the original line from the 80’s. but I am looking for the full sword that seems to be showed in your main He-man picture in metallic silver and the full purple sword for skeleton. Where or when could purchase this from your company to show my support for the line and creative team that helped making my childhood and now my son’s full of wonder.

My kids are enjoying their He-Man figures after we watched the cartoons on YouTube and eventually we bought the DVD set. Figures are well-made and it’s awesome spending time with them playing.

My kiddos love playing with He-Man after watching the shows. The pieces are a little tricky to remove and put back on, my 5 year old needs my help. Overall we are happy with this toy

I have actually played with this figure reliving my child hood.

I have seen a few MOTO releases over the years. They usually try to mimic the show, or make the characters more realistic. These figures really try to pay homage to the actual original source material. They have done a fantastic job of capturing the feel of the original figures while introducing modern sculpting and articulation. The packaging is also a real throwback to the 80’s. I was also very pleased to find a mini comic book behind the figure, just like they did back in the day. On another note, there is one review complaining about the sword not being “3D”. This is intentional. The original sword was this was as well. The story line in the mini comic outlined the intended method of play. He-Man and Skeletor fight to obtain the other’s half of the sword. When you combine both swords, the become the key to Castle Grayskull. Who ever was in control of Grayskull, “Had the Power”. Unfortunately my children are a bit to old for me to #passthesword. So of course, like most everyone on here, I was excited by the return of the original Masters of the Universe figures with updated sculpts. At the store, the figures looked great in the package. Much more detailed than the originals and the articulation should make them much easier to pose than the static original figures. However, once I opened one up, I was disappointed in the quality of the materials. The sword and shield are particularly flimsy. (I know someone was complaining about getting half a sword, but that was how the original was made. In the original story, He-man's half of the sword and Skeletor's half of the sword had to be combined to form the key that could open Castle Grayskull. That was more or less dropped in the cartoon and probably in later versions of He-man and Skeletor).The figure also feels like cheap plastic (or at least the He-Man does). The articulation is awkward and actually makes it harder to pose. The hands of the figures also seem awkwardly small compared to the rest of the body. Its a weird complaint, but I think it speaks to the overall quality put into the line. The last thing that I thought also showed Mattel didn't really have faith in this line or what felt like a "cut corner" is the fact that every figure comes with the same comic book. With the original toys, half the fun was the fact that each came with a unique comic book that focused on the character's backstory or connection to the MotU world. I'm definitely looking for ward to the next set since it contains two of my all-time favorite characters. I just hope that Mattel sees how well the first wave sold and puts more effort into them.

I didn’t get to have many MOTU toys as a child so I’m so glad these Origins toys are out in time for Christmas! I’m getting my kids one of everything. I just wish Walmart’s inventory system was better.

I didn't know He-man was re-released and had to pick one up when I saw it. The figure was so great, I went back and got Skeletor and Battle Cat. I can't wait for more! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was so excited to get this and opened up my Skeletor and He-Man to find that the sword is not 3D. It’s flat on one side like there should be another part to connect to make a full sword. Skeletor has a “female” sword and He-Man has a “male” one so if I put them together, then I get a full sword. I think this is kinda crappy for what I paid for the figures and even then pictures show a full sword and that’s not what I got. Other than that, it’s pretty nice, but that’s disappointing.

Master of the universe! Are you kidding me?!?! I am beyond excited that Mattel is bringing back the toys we grew up on and LOVE. I love that my kids can play with the same toys I enjoyed. This He-Man is built strong and has a lot of movement in his feet and hands and joints. He come with a sword, shield and ax. My boys are fighting over playing with him so it looks like we will be buying more and the whole Masters of the Universe set! Way to go Mattel! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
