A: This rug is 100% cotton. It is machine washable. Use cold water on delicate cycle, with a mild detergent such as Woolite.

Opened up my supposedly new rug only to see someones poor attempt to remove 3 bloodstains on the rug. The company obviously just placed the grossly damaged item into new packaging and sent it out to my dumb butt. Disgusting!

The rug has stains all over the white sections if it that looked like dirt stains that were not supposed to be there. If it was intentionally part of the manufacturing process, it does not look that way and does not look good. The rug is very thin and not worth the price.

I have several cotton Safavieh rugs to hide the boring carpet in my apartment. They are high-quality and come in interesting colors and patterns. Like all cotton rugs, they do absorb dirt. I shampoo them seasonally.

Looks great. Love the colors (white and gray), goes perfectly with my floors and fits in my laundry room perfectly. I washed it in delicate and line dry. Wow, the shrinkage, shorten by about 4 inches and width by more than 1 inch. Now it looks too small. The only reason I got rid of the jute rug was because it was not washable. Now I'm back looking for another rug that is truly washable.
