We are sorry to hear about your experience with this curtain rod. As noted, this particular curtain rod is recommended for light to medium weight curtains. Please call our Customer Service team at 1-800-753-6639 if we can be of any further assistance.
This rod works very well for the light weight curtain I bought to hang from it. However, I was very surprised at its lightness and very small diameter. This rod would be too small in total size and design for a heavy curtain. For me, it works just fine. As far as ease of installation, in all honesty it really would be easy to install. I believe my difficulty was having to reach up to drill the holes and did not have the strength to screw the screws in all the way. They are in secure enough and cannot be seen so I am satisfied.
