I ordered this on the June 16 and received it on the 19th...one day early. There were alot of leaves with brown spots.(1st pic shows brown spots) I was worried it might be blight, but after reading about it online, I came to the conclusion that it went dry sometimes at the nursery. After cutting off 50 or so leaves that had brown on them, the tree looked great.(2nd pic after I cut off the brown leaves) A little book comes with it to tell you how to acclamate it to the outdoors. It has to be watered everyday, so the water runs through the holes on the bottom. The first week it needs to be outdoors in the shade. I kept him on the front porch during the day and the front porch gets evening sun, so I took it inside in the evening during th first week. The book says after that to keep in morning sun and shade. Well, I don't have that at my house, so he is staying on the front porch and after 10 days , is doing very well. (3rd pic shows it beautiful and growing new leaves). I'm hoping to be able to plant it outside eventually, because it's supposed to be hardy in winter. I read online you need to cover it during real cold or snow storms. You can only take this plant inside for five days at a time, as it needs the outdoors to thrive. I'm just not sure if I should plant it so small in the fall. I think i might wait a year until it's a bit stronger. I really love this tree. I would have given it five stars, but I took a star off for the brown leaves. Otherwise, this is a gem and it is a very good price. I might get another one. I love it!
