They changed the formula and my hair felt it! I used to LOVE this deep conditioner but the new formula smells like chemicals and my hair wasn’t as soft as before. Less slip and more damage to my hair. Had to trash it!

The formula is drastically different for what it used to be from the smell to the texture and the way it sits on your hair. It doesn’t have the same detangling properties as it had before. And it required more product for a sub par detangle and my hair felt just ok after. And with a size reduction on top of that but with the same price

Wonderful product! If you have not tried this one- you are definitely missing out!!! It gives my hair the moisture it has been missing. It also detangles. I love this product!

I have been using this proud on my and my daughter’s hair for about 1.5 years. Recently the products have become ridiculously hard to find in stock and now the only thing that is in stock is the deep conditioner. I started ordering 2 at a time. This product alone has transformed my daughter’s hair; however, this last order was noticeably different from the reduced size to the smell. It was a 16fl oz, now 14fl oz for the same $32 which is sad. Additionally, I noticed right after opening it that the smell is horrible. The texture has also changed. It’s no longer creamy, but gunky. I used twice as much on my daughter hair as I normally do and it’s not even smoothing which breaks my heart. It’s so hard finding good quality products that remain consistent.
I miss the old formula :(

I am really disappointed. I am not sure if the formula changed or if I got a bad batch. I used to love this deep conditioner, why change it? Also, I don't like that it's less product for the same price. Additionally, mine had a weird mildewy smell to it. Overall, just so disappointed.

I absolutely love this product. It is my go to deep conditioner. I am not pleased though that the sizing that is available now has changed to 14 oz container. I only purchased this from target because it used to be a 16.1oz container for $32, now it’s a 14 oz container for the same price. Price should be reduced considering the product size has been reduced. I will only purchase now if it ever goes on sale.

The least that could have been done was a price decrease. Less ounces for the same amount of money doesn’t make me want to continue to purchase this product. There are other products that do the same thing so I wont be purchasing this again.

I love this conditioner! Its been hard finding a silicone free conditioner that gives enough product. I've been using this the last few weeks after going overboard with protein conditioners. It makes my hair feel silky immediately and has slip. After a less than a month my hair feels moisturized again. My only complaint is that the smell is overpowering and slightly irritating. That's the only reason I won't buy again.

my hair felt so amazing. I deep conditioned with this plumping DC beforehand out of the shower, hoped in, and had such an easy time detangling. I followed with the rinse out conditioner of this brand after. My hair felt like straw from months of neglect and these products made me feel like I had a new head of hair. Wow!

I know that Whitney was transparent about the price increase a year or so ago, but I was shocked when I received my new order. I'm okay with paying more for a quality product, but my last jar was 16oz, and the new one is 14oz. A little disappointing since the large jar size is what makes her products worth it.

I used this product for the first time tonight by giving myself a deep conditioning. I have 4c hair and it isnt the most manageable. But this product was everything!!! After i wash my hair with shampoo, i applied the melanin plumping deep conditioner on my hair from root to ends. I then let the deep conditioner sit on my hair for 30 mins with a shower cap (to hold the product on my hair), after the 30 mins was up i was the product out.

I love this deep conditioner so much! I was shocked by the price but it's actually the same price per ounce as my other fav DC. My hair feels soft/smooth and strong without the stiff feeling. Definitely try it!
