My 7 year old got this for Christmas. I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like Melissa and Doug is becoming more over priced and quality not as good as before. I bought this on Black Friday with a good price reduction but honestly I would not pay over $25 for this. It’s cute and all but I don’t get the $50+ price tag for the carnival sets.

My kids were excited to see Melissa & Doug Fun At The Fair Carnival Candy Play Set. I like that the play set is well made and sturdy for everyday play. The quality is good for little kids. The design is beautiful with the addition of different colored items. My kids play pretend with it, where one becomes the vendor & other plays the role of customer. It comes with paper money which kids can give to buy the items. Another good thing is reusable menu card which can be wiped and reused. My kids favorites are the fluffy cotton candy and the candies apples. Its a sturdy and fun playset for younger kids.

This carnival playset is perfect for any little girl or boy. In fact it was my 7 year old boy who enjoyed it the most with his older sister who is 15years old. They both played for hours and still play with it. My son has summer school , he gets extra help, he was delayed in social skills and has developed so much after age 4, now if you didn't know his story you can't tell he was delayed learner. Now he learns at a fast pace and reads and writes above his grade level, so this toy is wonderful for him. He brought the carnival to life in our home, yard and at school .

This toy is a great toy for pretend play. It has all the best carnival foods. The cotton candy and caramel/candy apples in this set are so cute and even better that you can remove the candy coating so you can pretend to make the apples. the cotton candy also has a bowl so you can pretend to spin the cotton candy onto the stick, great fun for all ages!

I have three children aged 10, 6, and 4. My 10 year old thought the idea of the toy was cute. My 6 and 4 year old spent a lot of time playing with it. It's a really well made toy. The cotton candy "puff sticks" are extremely cute and the little candy bars are adorable. There's lots of pieces included in this set to provide lots of opportunities for imaginative play. My daughters enjoyed taking turns being the worker and being the customer. It's entertaining to watch them charge each other $100 for cotton candy or peanuts. I would definitely suggest this toy to others. It's a sturdy well made set that's sure to last a long time and through many hours of play.

This set was an instant hit with my 4 kids ages 10, 7, 5 and 3. I love that it packs up and stays stored pretty well all together in the cart and the kiddos loved pretending to make and eat their cotton candy. The cotton candy is impressive in how durable it is! It's held up beautifully so far to some fairly aggressive cotton candy making. The caramel apples were less loved only because getting the caramel portion to stay on the apple was a little too tough for the younger two kids. I also wish the play money was a bit more durable rather than just the paper. Overall, this seems like it will be thoroughly enjoyed for the foreseeable future.

My son absolutely loves this set! He is still playing with it 4 weeks later. The pieces are realistic and make him feel like he is actually making everything. I love that it's an educational toy as well. My son wasn't familiar with candy apples or the process of making cotton candy prior to this toy. I love all Melissa & Doug products and highly recommend this one.

My 2 kiddos loved playing with this fun set. They took turns playing seller and shopper and counting their money to buy their favorite treats. I personally loved the cotton candy that gets bigger (fun interactive element) and the fact that it teaches kids about counting and taking turns.

My 3 year old LOVES this toy! She's very into playing pretend and especially playing with kitchen/food toys so this was a great new way for her to play since she has nothing like these fun fair foods. The paper money I'm sure will not last long, as well as the little cardboard boxes for the candy (actual candy is wood, so that will last), but everything else seems very durable. Even the sign and the little credit card are made of a plastic-y material so at least those will last if the money doesn't. It has space to write in money values for the different treats you can buy which will be good when my daughter is old enough to be learning more math, but I doubt the bills will last that long haha. Overall, very cute, great for kids who love to play pretend store/kitchen, and seems like a good quality.
