Bought this for my daughter when she was 3 1/2, she had all states & capitals MEMORIZED in no time b/c this "talks" to you as you place the pieces into the puzzle ("New York...capital "Albany", etc.). My daughter also loves timing herself to see how fast she can complete the puzzle. GREAT TOY!!

I like this for both my children ages 3 and 6. The only draw back is that it says the state and capital no matter which puzzle piece you put on the state whether it's the correct one or not. I have been taking a few out at a time and letting my 3 year old find the missing spot instead of dumping o...see moreof the reviewer's review

We bought this for our 3.5yr old to help her learn the 50 state geography and capitals. The sound feature is a plus because she can learn just by listening and playing with it independently instead of requiring someone to read it to her. She plays with it everyday.
