A: Unfortunately I don't have an answer but am also in the same boat- My daughter desperately wants this and is also 7. She absolutely loves to play store! But I'm concerned it's going to be too small, esp since she's a tall 7yo. I'm really hoping someone can chime in on this soon!

A: Hi! Thank you for taking the time to contact us. To change the batteries in the scanner, first remove the scanner from the countertop by unscrewing the two screws. Next, remove the battery panel from the scanner with a phillips head screwdriver and insert 2 AA batteries. Reattach the battery panel and insert the scanner into the countertop and slide to align the holes,then re-attach the scanner to the countertop. A: Hi Shellie, The only differences between the Melissa & Doug Grocery Store and the Target One Stop Shop are the colors - the Melissa & Doug Grocery Store Store is mostly a natural color with green trim and a sliver checkout counter, while the Target One Stop Shop is natural with red trim and shelves and has a red checkout counter. Beautiful and so much fun. I bought it for my kids but I’ve been having a blast playing too! It took me 3.5 hours to assemble by myself but it wasn’t hard and the instructions are humorous and easy to understand. I’m obsessed for sure. The scanner beeps, the conveyor belt moves (by a hand crank), and there’s a chip reader and signature pad on the credit card machine.

We bought this for my three and a half year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves that it makes a noise and lights up when he scans items. It has a place for fruits and a 'cold' storage section. He can bag items and use the credit card machine. He even likes signing his name when he's finished. It's a great product. It did take my husband an hour or two to put together but it was totally worth it.

Santa brought this for my son for christmas...(the Target edition)...he LOVES playing kitchen & store. He wanted this ONLY for the credit card machine! Lol
My ONLY negatives, and they r minor, is the card machine on the customer side does NOTHING other than insert card & write your name. At least make the keypad make noise or something, it would have been better if they didnt even put the keypad on there! My son thinks its broke because it doesnt do anything. But other than that, he loves it. He also has the grcery companion set, wish 1 of them came with couple extra clips...when u hang the display up & try
to take the magazine out, the display usually slips off the clip. And the other clip is supposed to hold the apron, daily specials & the open sign, too much. But we love it nonetheless!

Purchased for my 3.5 yr old and she loves it. It's sturdy and holding well so far. I do wish the "cash register" buttons made noise, had a microphone or a button for the cash drawer to open.. something, as my daughter loves that part with her other toy register and had asked why this one didn't do the same. Overall it's cute and hours of fun.

I felt like I won the lottery when I finally was able to snag this set online. I'm hear to tell you all, that this set is amazing! It came packaged so carefully. The instructions were like none that I had ever seen before. Such a fun toy. We bought it in November and have saved it for my sons 4th birthday in January. We finally just opened it on Sunday, and by Tuesday the pen on the card reader was busted off. Kinda of bummed it didn’t last longer. Everything else is great, the play food boxes are hard to stand up if you don’t fold them just right the first time. Wish they came with wooden food items to last longer. Overall, very cute, easy to assemble and hours of fun. If you are looking for a pretend play option, this is a great purchase because it has all the fun features and noises you’d find in your local grocery store.

The One Stop Shop shopping store is a excellent toy. After putting it together my daughter plays with it none stop! It's very hard to come across as soon as it hits the shelf it's gone. I'm so happy that I purchased 2 of them. My nephew is going to love it!! The one thing I wish was better is the register belt I wished it was battery operated like the pin pad..
