Merkury Vlogging Ring Light Phone Holder with Remote - Platform Base

I've been using this for 2 years with no problems. Not the brightest light, but it works. I'm reading all the negative reviews and wondering what product they are using. The light, stand and base work just fine for me every day.

Easy to put together, and has several brightnesses and 3 color options (it probably says that but I didn't pay attention to that when I bought it). I use it as a main source of light in my room (no ceiling or wall lights) and leave it on for hours at a time (I'd let it rest every 5 hours or so, but most probably won't use it that long).

Phone Clip broke after minimal use. Now the light doesn’t work

This is poorly constructed and not durable. Given the opportunity I would not purchase again.

I only bought this kit because it was cheaper than the simple tripod I actually went for (someone had returned it... should have been a red flag, but I was desperate because it was an immediate-need purchase). I had a similar experience as others... thought I was doing something wrong trying to put the screw in the light pole (the camera pole cooperated nicely, at least). The bolt/light pole seemed stripped right out the box... kept going in crooked, then once I finally got it straight, it refused to tighten all the way. I gave up and went to go take the shots I needed, but it took a lot of maneuvering the goose neck of the light pole to keep the whole unit from tipping over while trying to stabilize the camera to take the shot. There are workarounds to make it functional, but if I had to choose, I'd go ahead and pay the extra for the tripod I wanted in the first place.

Clearly there is an issue with the screws being to short or stripped yet the manufacturer has yet to address the issue. I'll be returning and purchasing a tripod model. What should have been simple assembly left me frustrated to the point tools went flying.. Literally out the back door. That should tell ya something.

I was very frustrated putting this together. I felt like a 5yr old because for the life of me it just wasn’t tightening. Turned out (with my husbands help) we realized that the screw/bolt was either too small or the threading was stripped in one of the poles. So I tightened, tightened, tightened (because it would) just for it to inch out with the ski test bit of pressure. I’ll be returning and buying something else!

awful product as others have stated, and the someone from the company responded that yes…the screws and tubes are threaded LOL anyway, don’t buy this product. I wanted to throw myself off a cliff because I thought I couldn’t assemble what a 5 year old could.

Piece of junk. Would not stand or stay clamped.

The item will not stay together. The bolts for the light and the phone holder are the wrong size and does not come with washers. I can screw it as tight as I can and it still falls off. Do not buy

I got it to fit despite other reviews saying the bolts were short; sturdy enough. However, it stopped working within 6 months. Didn’t get much use, sat only in one location; I would use the light as a nightlight while I worked occasionally. One day the light came on randomly and shorted. And that was it— the light no longer works. Waste of money as I have found similar quality items at a much cheaper price.

It’s trash! A total waste of money. I purchased it yesterday and the bolts didn’t even fit in the base! It’s like the manufacturer who put it together had workers who were high and weren’t paying attention to the parts when they were in the assembly line

Believe the reviews. This is awful. The bolts are too short to make the arms sturdy. It’s wobbly and it is impossible to tighten the bolts. We’re currently attempting to superglue this thing, but even that isn’t really working.

The stand isn't well balanced, so it might tip. The tool provided to screw-in the nuts was the wrong type (should've been a socket, not an open crescent), and slightly the wrong size. There were no washers provided so it was impossible to get the piece assembled tightly enough. The pieces started coming loose when being transported. The color modes are not what I was expecting, they're color temperatures, not different colors.

Does not assemble properly. Bolts do not fit and it is such a poor design.

Bolts don’t fit correctly. Don’t waste your time.

Base is too light so it flips over when your camera is not balanced in the center. I have to put heavy books or candles on top of it which sometimes get in the shot. Otherwise okay product.
