You should buy this doll under the following conditions: 1) You are looking to spend 20-30 minutes freeing the doll from the Fort Knox level packaging. 2) Your kids enjoy standing at the sink for an hour waiting for the tail to change only to be disappointed when it doesn't. If those things don't appeal to you, then buy something else. I got these on sale for 50% off and it's still a total waste. To the manufacturer - Way to break young hearts on Christmas morning 🙄

tried in hot water and cold and the tail doesn't change. my daughter was upset and thought I made it up! so disappointed in the product and advertising. the doll is cute and my daughter loves mermaids, but the whole reason we got the doll was for a new fun bath toy with changing colors. boo on the maker for this epic fail.

Doesn’t change color as advertised. Unless you have your kid play in an ice bath, I seriously don’t understand who thought this was a good idea but parent don’t need their kids to play with ice cubes and water and freeze their fingers just to see a tail change colors. Awful design concept. How it actually made it to production is mind boggling.

It came curly and beautiful, but my daughter immediately took it into the tub and brushed it til it was straight. She said she prefers straight hair and it was great.
