Whether you're short on storage space or you're just looking for a way to keep your seasonal wardrobes organized, the Metal Base Adjustable Rod Garment Rack from Room Essentials™ makes a great pick. The frame of the garment rack can be adjusted along the 35-inch hanging rod to give you as much room as you need to hang items like winter jackets and sweaters during warmer months, and a rolling base makes it easy to move the rack from one space to another when the items are needed again. For added convenience, the garment rack has two hanging rods — one at the top and a lower one — to give you options for all your clothing.
I bought this in a pinch when my closet rod broke. It was acceptable for the price when I needed something on short notice, but the quality is very poor. Its hard to describe, but basically the connecting vertical rods at one point allow some movement even when they're connected properly, so when I tried to roll the unit with my (admittedly heavy) clothes on it, it started to twist in place and completely collapsed after rolling it less than 5 feet. The wheels are very cheap and the expandable hanging rods are not secured well either and have let go with clothes hanging on it. Now its in my storage unit and is perfectly fine now that it's stationary, but is not at all stable or strong enough to handle your winter clothes for example, especially if you need to move it around. Spend a little more for better quality if you need something durable.

For the price these racks were very handy to have for an organizing project but they were not very durable. I bought 2 single and 2 double racks. They were quick and easy to put together. If I put a lot of clothes on them, the racks would sway and bend. I broke 2 of the racks. I did not feel like I overloaded them but I guess I did for the quality. These would be useful racks for light use but don't not plan to put many item on them. Also, when moving them around, they are likely to break. I found that when moving them, especially on carpet, take most of the item off. I broke one when I bumped into it and it tipped over and bend. The other broke when I was moving it. I swayed and bent.
