I agree with the other reviews that this item takes a bit longer to put together. It probably took me 1.5-2 hours, but I am the kind of person who lays everything out, reads the full directions before starting, and likes to take my time and do it right. The instructions say not to use a power drill, and my guess is because people go to hard with it and then crack the wood. That is a risk if you use a drill. However, using a drill wisely will make it easier. I used my drill to get stuff started and then finished the last couple turns with a regular screwdriver to make sure I didn't go too tight on the screws. My final verdict: yes, this may feel like it requires a bit more work than your average particle board, assembly required furniture--you use wood glue! However, the directions are better than your average set of instructions, and the end product is beautiful and sturdy. I had fun putting it together and was able to do it by myself.

This was a 6 hour project to assemble and thank God I had a full shop of tools to supplement their flimsy tools. Don't expect to just screw some legs on. I estimate over 300 pieces to assemble this item. The instructions were pretty good. But dedicate a whole day to build. Once built it is solid, but it is not a dresser for a nice bedroom. This goes in the closet out of site.

I bought this because the price was pretty competitive but was extremely heavy and impossible to assemble. The instructions did not make sense and the drawers are NOT on rails and fall out every time you use them. I am buying a new dresser because it is not functional. Save yourself the trouble!

Love the look! Item arrived not damaged at all and it was fairly easy to put together with a drill, hammer and screwdriver. The drill is a must! The drawers aren’t the best for everyday use but they’ll do for the look and the price!

This took me 2 hours to put together with a friend and once we got to putting the drawers in they wouldn’t fit on the wooden pieces to hold the drawer in place. Long story short I thought about taking the wooden dowels out of these wooden pieces that hold the drawers in place and I got the drawers to work. I hope this helps anyone who gets stuck with the same issue. I would’ve given it one star but I eventually got it to work and I like the look and size of it for the price.
