This product caused hair loss for me and both of my children. My hair loss was so severe that my hairline thinned, and my ponytails were no longer worth wearing. After almost a year of not using this product, my hairline has improved, and my ponytail is nearly back to normal.

I really wanted to like this product, but something just doesn’t make sense. The Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil claims to contain biotin and glycerin, but as far as I know, both are water-soluble, and this product is clearly made only with oils. There’s no water in the formula and no explanation of how those ingredients are supposed to work here. How can water-based ingredients be active or even present in a 100% oil product? To me, this feels misleading. If the biotin and glycerin are just there for marketing, that’s not fair to customers who are expecting real results from them. Disappointed and a bit skeptical about the honesty of the label. I won’t be repurchasing unless there’s more transparency.

Your feedback is important. ❤️ We certainly value transparency which is why we list all our ingredients for our mavens and mavericks on the label and online. Biotin and glycerin are indeed listed. Biotin and glycerin are water-soluble, but they can still provide benefits in an oil-based formula. Glycerin, for instance, acts as a humectant, helping to draw moisture to your hair and scalp, even when mixed with oils. Biotin is included for its nourishing properties, which can support hair health. While glycerin is water-soluble, it's also miscible in many oils, meaning it can dissolve and mix with them. The formula contains carrier oils that are suitable for glycerin to dissolve in. The carrier oils can also act as a vehicle for biotin and glycerin. So while they’re water-soluble, they can still be effective in an oil blend! Truly hope this sheds some light! Let us know how we can champion your selections!

****Warning, do not use. My teenage daughter has been using this for a few months and has lost a significant amount of hair. It will take months, if not a good year+ to get her hair back to normal. This product should be banned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works good! I enjoyed the rosemary and mint feeling on my scalp and it had some noticeable growth and strengthening effects. My hair seemed healthier, hopefully not a placebo effect. The dropper is a nice way to package this so you can put it precisely where you prefer.

This product is not made for all hair type. If you have thin hair, this is NOT the product for you. Do better than me and DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH according to your hair type. Your hair will fall out ALOT. We used this product 5 months ago and shedded has finally stopped. NO HAIR GROWTH just looking bald now. HOPING IT GROW BACK!

This hair oil I found heavy and greasy when applying light amounts. It was slightly effective over time, but could be more light-weight in efforts to not weigh down hair.

Thinning hair from stress & medical problems. I’m in my mid-forties and my hair was falling out over the summer in a scary way. I tried the oil and my hair bounced back. I thought because of my age my hair was finished growing. My hair has grown to mid back length from being chin length in over nine months. My hair part is thinner and not wide anymore. I don’t shed huge clumps of hair bigger than my fist. That has stopped completely. This product saved the edges too. Every time I became sick with Covid or the flu, a small patch of hair would fall out in my hairline. Since using this oil combined with the Avocado line, my hair is growing out in a much healthier way. I’ve been able to thermally straighten my hair as of recently. My hair has gone thru so many phases and this company has helped me get thru all of the changes. I Love Mielle! For reference, I am 40+, mixed hair, 3b-3c-4a curl pattern.

I first began using Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint shampoo & conditioner in 2024. However, the winner for me in the collection is this little bottle of Rosemary & Mint Strengthening Oil : ) It has done wonders for my scalp and hair. I saw a decrease in dandruff and my hair looks healthier than ever. I also love that this product consists of various essential oils that is proven to be natural and effective in my hair growth. Sometimes, I use drops of it as a hot oil treatment for deep conditioning after I shampoo. A little goes a long way - but no question about it, this is a MUST-HAVE in my daily beauty regime.
