It's okay if you don't live in New York City, Washington D.C. or Toronto — you can still eat a Milk Bar cookie. The award-winning bakery by renowned chef Christina Tosi provides you the mix for her Milk Bar Cornflake-Chocolate Chip-Marshmallow Cookie, so you can have these famously delicious treats fresh, hot and from the comfort of your kitchen. All this cookie mix needs from you is one stick of butter and one egg for a deliciously gooey, unexpectedly crunchy, chocolatey treat.
I was so excited to buy these but these were a complete disappointment. The recipe calls for too much butter making then very greasy. These are also way way way too sweet. I like sweets but there was absolutely no balance to these. The corn flakes are actually Frosted Flakes adding more sugar. The marshmallows were a waste as they just burnt to the bottom of the cookies. Overall, these were a waste of money and won't be eaten.
These cookies are full of butter, rich, gooey and crisp at the same time. They are what cookies should be. Just plain old delicious and decadent. Easy, delicious and everyone I gave some to Wanted the recipe. Yeah, gotta love that. Buy a box.
I was really excited to have an easier way to make these cookies.... but I should have known they just wouldn't taste near as good as when you make them from scratch. These just don't taste good - very disappointing.
These cookies turned out perfectly following the instructions. They are definitely sweet and buttery...no denying that. I would say the flavor is marshmallow-y more than anything. I made them according to instructions except made smaller balls using my 1-inch diameter cookie scoop. I was able to make 26 cookies that came out about 2 inches. A good standard sized cookie. The first batch I made straight from mix to oven, no refrigeration and they were fine. They didn't spread too much and the bottoms got crispy while the middles stayed soft. The second batch had been in the fridge about 30 min and I preferred these. They spread even less. I also left them on the hot pan to cool completely and it got me a crispier crust while the middles stayed soft. These are definitely worth a try though I do want to correct all the print that says cornflakes. They aren't cornflakes but are FROSTED corn flakes...really upping that SWEET part!
There must be issues in how folks are baking these little slices of heaven because I am HOOKED!! Delicious blend of sweet and crunch with a little extra sea salt (added by yours truly) make for cookie perfection! I recommend aways baking one new cookie first to find the perfect cook time. Thank you Target & Milk Bar!! Yum!!
I was skeptical about this cookie and what it would taste like. I am familiar with the chef and her cookbook (and own all of the other cookie mixes) and thought some of her recipes were too complicated (from the cookbook). This cookie, however, blew me out of the water. DELICIOUS! I even gave the cookie to a VERY picky coworker and she loved it. BRAVO COOKIE!
