No cleaning task is too small for the Mini Dustpan and Broom Set from Made By Design™. This small broom and dustpan set is perfect for quick cleanups, and the dust pan has plastic cleaning teeth that help you keep the broom free of debris. The pan snaps securely onto the brush, and a loop makes for easy hanging storage.
Just what I needed for cleaning up scattered dry cat food. My 2 cats are messy eaters. Despite their nice pet food & water bowl mat they get loose dry cat food all over the floor around the mat every time they eat, and I was sick of pulling out the vacuum. This handy little whisk broom and dust pan are a nice size for the task, and I hang it on the wall behind a shoji screen where their litter pan and litter supplies are kept. Their food mat and bowls are kept in front of one of the panels of the shoji screen.
The brushes are flexible enough to get around bowls and under the edges of the mat yet stiff enough to pick up the scattered cat food from the carpeting.
Now this thing is SMALL. But, it’s great. It sweeps up my little dorm’s floors perfectly and I love how it has those prongs on the dustpan so I can run the bristles and get everything off of it. I’d say it’s 8 inches wide, 5 inches long.
Good quality handheld broom and dustpan, but a little small. Works well to clean up leftover litter debris in our cat litter area. Brush is small enough to clean out corners, but handle could be longer. I enjoy the added brush cleaner teeth so I don't have to clean the brush out using my hand.
Honestly, I just needed a mini dustpan to replace my old one that got too furry. This one was a bit larger than I expected, but it is also much better quality than I expected! The bristles are heavy and strong, which means not only can it gently sweep, but it can firmly scrub a little too. I never would have expected such a nice set for under $5. Nice job, Target!
This is the smaller version of the MBD dustbin and brush.
I like the smaller size for small areas that regularly seem to get little piles of debris. It stays out of the way, yet picks up a fair amount of material.
Much nicer than a rechargeable 'dustbuster' as it doesn't suck up electricity as well as dust and the cleaning would be about the same amount of work if not less.
There is a rubbery edge that is meant to help move the bits of flotsam into the bin. Time will tell whether it stays nice and flat or eventually warps like most of my past dustbins have done.
The handle is roundish and comfortable to hold. Fits into the handle and stays put when not in use.
While the 'cleaning teeth' does help knock of some of the debris from the brush, I could wish there were more of them with less space between. Not a deal breaker though.
It's a bit smaller than I anticipated although it is called a mini dust pan. It's nice for things like under the cushions of couches. Much harder to use for floors. I would not recommend it for floors.
