Q: Can you use this in container gardening?

A:Â I am using it in a pot for my ranunculus. I thought I killed the plants but I dug down some and found them starting to sprout. I plan on starting seeds in mini biodegradable pots and planting them in the ground come May. I'll share my experience then.

Miracle-Gro web site shows they make a Performance Organics potting mix, but as I write this it's gotten two bad reviews. (Of course, maybe a lot of folks have been happy with it -- unsatisfied customers are more likely to weigh in!)

WHITE FUNGUS CONTAMINATED SOIL

Looked and smelt good out of bag, but after filling two pots and watering, white fungus broke out and spread over the surface, and kept returning after removing. Everything may have to be thrown out, certainly all this soil, the whole bag may be loaded with fugal spores. I will buy a better brand of organic soil.

I have gnats all over the place and plants have gotten white patches due to whatever bugs were in this soil. All my plants have gone bad due to the insects etc in this potting soil.

I took a risk and bought this soil and unfortunately I now have gnats everywhere. My almost 4 year old pothos plant has never ever had issues. I didn’t even know indoor plants could get bugs! I split my plant apart in to 2 plants and repotted with this soil and now I have gnats all over my house.
