Description
Cultivate a beautiful array of container plants with Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. This potting soil mix Grows Plants Twice As Big!®* In addition, the added fertilizer feeds all types of container plants for up to 6 months. With this gardening product, you can expect more blooms for more color*. This container mix works best with outdoor container plants, including your favorite flowers, annuals, perennials, vegetables, and shrubs. To apply, select a pot with a drain hole. Fill the pot about 1/3 full with potting soil. Loosen the root ball of your plant and place it in the pot. Add more potting mix and press lightly to level. Water your plant and let it drain. For optimal results, refer to plant tags for specific sun and shade needs. Let mix dry to the touch between waterings; do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. To avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients, all container plants should be repotted annually or as needed with fresh Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. A: I keep a bag of potting soil until it is used up and that may take up to a year. There is nothing the matter with it, just add some water and the proper fertilizer and everything will be fine.

A: I wouldn’t recommend it unless you can seal the bag very well. My bag was taped closed but somehow flies/ moths got in and were able to breed. I kept the bag rolled up and taped. It was also stored in an indoor utility closet. Soil definitely wasn’t dry but was infested in a months time.

A: i googled how many qts is a cubic sq ft and it said 30qts
A: No. The potting media used for orchids are chosen to imitate “life on a rainforest tree.” Most common types of orchid potting mix consist primarily of small pieces of fir bark that's main function is to stabilize the plant and promote root growth. We would recommend one of our two Miracle-Gro Orchid Potting Mix products, one that is a course blend and one a fine blend. Our potting mix is safe and beneficial for ornamental plants in pots and for starting seeds in containers. However, we don't recommend using our potting mix directly in the ground. For in-ground ornamentals, garden soil or compost would be a better choice. Our potting mix is formulated with premium ingredients to provide everything your plants need when grown in a container. While it can add nutrients and organic matter to native soil, garden soil mixes are generally more cost-effective for in-ground applications.

It breeds mold. •ิ_•ิ Of course, that could be my fault, with watering my Chinese Evergreen too much. But, this never happened with the original potted soil the plant is in. I just placed the plant in the nww pot amongst the Potting Mix. Does this mix trap too much moisture?

I always use Miracle Gro. But this size bag didn't stretch far. It seems the bags get smaller and smaller than usual.

DRY AND OLD!!
ZERO STARS! Dry old potting soil. Ridiculous! What a waste of my time and money! Water just pooled on top and it would not absorb. Even when I squished the water/soil down there were dry areas all throughout the soil. Hopefully I won’t get gnats like the others. I don’t know who’s to blame, Target or the manufacturer.

Our growing media is intentionally not sterilized. Sterilization would kill off the beneficial microorganisms that make soil "alive." Fungal spores, including those that produce mushrooms, are naturally occurring. They only become visible "overgrowths" when the soil or mulch stays too wet. The mold and fungus found in these products will not harm plants and is safe for people and pets to be around. The mold and fungus on growing media or mulch will go away naturally with increased sunlight and better air circulation. Whoever pack the 3 bags of soil in my shipment should go back to shipping school. The soil bags where not bagged individually and the shipment box, along with all the other items I ordered were covered in soil. I had to wash the dirt off every item. Disgusting at best.

fungus gnat central
whole bag was infested qith fungus gnats. i didnt know it until a few days after transplanting. i went back to the bag and a whole cloud of gnats came out of it. i should havr put the soil inthe oven and baked it to sterilize but who does that?
