Looks better than the price would suggest, is sturdy enough once assembled but is quite a project to put together. I didn’t have any trouble understanding the directions (you have to look at the pictures closely) and it took me about 2 hours to put together.

Very happy with the look and quality of the desk. Great piece for the price. Agree with others sometimes the directions stumped us but we finally got it together. It looks great and matches other Mission furniture in room.

I'm sitting at my new desk as I type this review. It was easy to assemble, and is designed to assemble in a sturdy way. The look and feel is good quality, and matches our other Mission style furniture very nicely. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a 5-star is the keyboard tray. There is a tip-town drawer front that reveals a slide out keyboard tray. It is sturdy and a nice feature, but the tray doesn't extend far enough. I have to pull my keyboard forward off the front edge of the tray to access enough of it to really utilize my full keyboard, otherwise I would be trying to type with my hands inside/under the desk top. I'm making it work by pulling the keyboard out, but it would be better if the tray were deeper or extended out farther - or both.

I'm really happy with the quality of the desk. I was looking for something to tuck into the corner of our bedroom and this was just perfect. Once assembled, it looks like a nicer quality than the cost would reflect. However, assembling it is a project. Even as someone who considers myself pretty assembly savvy, this took me over an hour to build, after it had already frustrated my husband just working on the first couple of steps. The instructions require a bit of interpretation. So, if you don't have the patience and time to dedicate to building this thing, don't buy it. It will crush your spirit. But look fabulous doing so.

We have an RV with two super slides and wanted to remove the couch in one of the super slides and replace it with a corner desk so my husband can use it on the days he works from home. It took an hour to put it together and on a scale of 1 to 10 we would give the directions a 9. The desk is very sturdy and it's exactly what we were looking for.

The quality is poor. The desk as wobbly, not because of the shape but the construction and design.

I got it with [..] ,so the price was good. Was easy to put together, took me 20 min.Looks good, fits perfect in out living room without taking too much space. All the pieces fit together. The only complaint-one of the pieces had a pre-drilled hole that was not properly alined(crooked) and the piece was split at the end. I was upset at first, but that piece was on the back part,so it's not visible, I glued it for better stability.

Desk
3 out of 5 stars
Fernando - 10 years ago
The desk is very sturdy once you figure out how to assemble it. Assembling it is another matter. Takes two people to to be able to do it.Instructions are very vague. Not all instructions for screws are given, and you sort of figure it as you go along. The pegs which it requires are too small for the holes, so you lose some of the support. Once you figure it out it can be a sturdy good looking piece of furniture with adequate space. Would not buy again. Would not recommend unless "you have the patience of Job." to assemble. I like the style but I would not buy this particular desk again.

This desk is not bad for the money, but you almost need to be a rocket scientist to assemble with the directions that are included. I received my desk and upon opening the box, the keyboard tray was broken. Needs to be glued and screwed.

Very pretty looking but not a professional quality desk
4 out of 5 stars
Kathleen - 10 years ago
The desk is lovely and assembles easy enough. It has plenty of pressboard and ply wood parts which make it less then ideal, but that is expected with the price. Although looking at it you might not know, as it does have some 'real' wood components.[...].The whole experience was relatively painless. Overall the desk looks nice but it does not feel like 'real' furniture. I would not say professional quality, so if you are looking for a small home office desk this might not be for you. It is a cheap quality desk I might expect to get from [...] but nicer looking.

Handsome desk, fits well
4 out of 5 stars

Took about 90 minutes to assemble. Love the looks of the desk and how it fits in a tight corner in our daughter's small room. Thought it was a drawer but it was a keyboard shelf that pulls out but perhaps we didn't read description thoroughly. We still like it despite that. A great value because it looks much more expensive than it is. Sturdy.

This desk does NOT fit through doorways
1 out of 5 stars
Annoyed - 11 years ago
We bought this desk, assembled it in our office, and set it up in the corner. It was gorgeous and worked great. Then we got new carpet in our house and had to move all of the furniture out of the rooms. The desk is physically too large to fit through a doorway when it is fully assembled, so we had to take disassemble the desk by removing the cam locks. The desk was IMPOSSIBLE to put back together when it came time to move it back into our office. We went to a home improvement store and bought new cam locks, but they did not work either. So long story short, do not buy this desk unless you plan on never moving it again. [...].

Definitely was a good choice for the corner of our room. Ended up using a mission style bookcase next to it for storage of paperwork, pens etc that had been in our previous desk. Definitely gave us more space to work on top because we could move our monitor farther back than on our old desk. As far as putting it together, I've read reviews that basically say it's a total bear to put together. My husband is very mechanically inclined so wasn't too bad for him, [...]Overall, it's a good looking desk and fills our needs. I would probably purchase it again if I had a need for a second desk.

This was the perfect piece for the empty corner in the Guest Room. It will double as a vanity / desk. True oak color. It is pretty, and it is made well, and the chair is very nice, BUT.....I thought my husband was going to have a breakdown putting it together. Everything was included, but there are many, many, nuts, bolts, screws, caps, etc. If you are not good at this sort of thing, think again. I couldn't give it the 5 stars it deserved because assembly is difficult.

I ordered this desk to fit in a tight space in a bedroom for my son. I received the desk in only a couple days after ordering. I recommend setting all the pieces out and inspecting them carefully before assembling!! Although the shipping box was very minimally damaged, the desk top was cracked almost completely through. It looks as though the screw sets that were put in place during manufacturing for attaching the legs to the bottom of the desk top were the cause of the crack. I was able to return the desk to the store fairly easy, although it is not a small or light package to load into a shopping cart! I've decided since I really liked the color and syle of the desk, to try re-ordering the desk online. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the damage was just a fluke!
